Abstract:
Portable lighting systems and devices including a first power source that is magnetically attractable and that has a first terminal with a first electrical polarity and a second terminal with a second electrical polarity, a second power source having a third terminal with the first electrical polarity and a fourth terminal with the second electrical polarity, a light source electrically connected to the first terminal and to the fourth terminal, and a biasing mechanism biasing the first power source toward an activated position where the second terminal is in contact with the fourth terminal to define an electrical circuit, wherein in the presence of a magnetic field the first power source moves into a deactivated position where the second terminal is spaced from the fourth terminal to open the electrical circuit.
Abstract:
Exemplary embodiments can be used in a replicating system to guide source electromagnetic waves, such as infrared (IR) radiation, from an emitter of a reflective-type sensor towards an object held on a support mechanism and to guide reflected electromagnetic waves that are related to the source electromagnetic waves to a receiver of the reflective-type sensor. The height of the support mechanism can be adjusted based on whether the object is detected.
Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to an improved furniture connector designed to firmly attach two portions of furniture without the need for tools. The connector is designed to fit into a void within a first surface in much the same manner as a prior art cam connector. When a connector stud in a second surface is inserted into the improved furniture connector, a flexible tab accepts the stud and holds it firmly along a chamfered edge within the connector. Disassembly is then possible as the flexible tab can be released to remove the connector stud.
