Abstract:
A water control system including a showerhead and a tub faucet. The faucet has a valve configured to automatically restrict fluid flow through the faucet and direct fluid to the showerhead as a function of a parameter, such as a predetermined water temperature. The faucet has many modes of operation, including a Reset Mode, an Auto-Divert Mode, a Bypass Mode, and a Cold Mode. A flow control device generates minimal back-pressure when in the Reset Mode such that water does not undesirably back flow to a shower head.
Abstract:
A multifunctional restrictive valve for controlling the flow of water therethrough. The valve has a main body with a flow channel through the main body. The main body receives water upstream thereof through an inlet port and passes it out through an outlet port at the downstream end of the body. A flow control assembly is located in the flow channel and includes a temperature sensor/actuator acting on a piston to move, when the temperature sensor heats up the piston, to block water flow control ports. The flow control assembly also includes an override feature wherein the piston is located within a slide and the flow control ports are located in the slide. By moving the slide away from the piston when the piston is blocking the flow control ports, the temperature sensor and piston may be overridden and flow may resume through the main body.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition by a novel action mechanism without serious side effects for delayed hypersensitivity and a screening method of the same. The invention also provides a novel assay method of inhibitors/suppressive agents of PAR-2. The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for delayed hypersensitivity containing one or two or more active ingredients selected from the group consisting of inhibitors of PAR-2 and suppressive agents of PAR-2 gene expression and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, and to a method for screening active ingredients for pharmaceutical composition for delayed hypersensitivity by contacting a subject substance with cells expressing PAR-2 and by determining expression or activity of PAR-2. The invention also relates to a method for detecting or quantifying actions of the subject substance for PAR-2 using cells expressing PAR-2 in a culture containing inositol.
Abstract:
Described herein are systems, methods and computer program product of integrated payroll solutions enabling low cost on-demand intra-cycle payment of accrued employee wages, to meet critical cash flow needs.
Abstract:
A temperature control valve that effectively manages fluid pressure therethrough, including pressure differentials which may exist therein, such as from the upstream port to the downstream port, and about a piston slidingly disposed therewithin proximate a fluid flow path. In one embodiment a 3 stage valve is provided whereby fluid flows therethrough when the piston is in a first position, fluid flow is inhibited in a second piston position, and an override third position whereby fluid flows therethrough. When the piston is in the second position, the fluid pressure differential across the piston is balanced and an axial spring force on the piston is relatively small, thereby reducing any subsequent axial force required to advance the piston to the third free flow position, and allowing the valve to be comprised of cheaper materials including plastic.
Abstract:
A system and method for connecting a number of network devices together in a daisy chain configuration is disclosed. A connector device comprising a number of cable interfaces for a cable is used to allow a number of network devices connected to a network to be connected in a free-form manner, yet still maintain a daisy chain configuration. A cable comprising at least two conductors, wherein the conductors are preferably a twisted pair of copper wire, is used to connect the network devices, so that each network device only has a single cable connected to it. Additional network devices can be added to the network by simply connecting the additional network device into the existing network with the use of an additional cable and an additional connector device. Wherever the additional network device is added to the existing network, the network will be maintained in a daisy chain configuration.
Abstract:
A network device configured to allows the connection of the network device to a network in a daisy chain configuration using a single cable. The network device is connected to a cable with two conductors by a socket that is adapted to receive a plug connected to the end of the cable. When the plug on the end of a cable is inserted into the socket, a first conductor in the cable is connected to an input port of a network component and a second conductor of the cable is connected to an output port of a network component. A signal from the network is transmitted down a first conductor in a cable to a network device and the signal is then transmitted back from the network device down a second conductor in the same cable.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for graphically configuring leads for a medical device. According to one aspect, the system generally comprises a medical device and a processing device, such as a programmer or computer, adapted to be in communication with the medical device. The medical device has at least one lead with at least one electrode in a configuration that can be changed using the processing device. The processing device provides a graphical display of the configuration, including a representative image of a proposed electrical signal to be applied by the medical device between the at least one electrode of the medical device and at least one other electrode before the medical device applies the electrical signal between the at least one electrode and the at least one other electrode. In one embodiment, the graphical display graphically represents the lead(s), the electrode(s), a pulse polarity, and a vector.
