Abstract:
An apparatus for micromanipulation of biological material, includes a vessel (1) having a reservoir (2) wherein the vessel has a channel (3) formed in a portion of the reservoir, the channel including an intermediate restriction (4) dimensioned to resist passage of the biological material but allow passage of liquid treatment solutions.
Abstract:
A memory device having a primary memory element, in which the memory device includes an evaluation device to ascertain whether the primary memory element experiences a state change and to activate a secondary memory element so that if (a) the primary memory element experiences a state change, the secondary memory element does not carry out a state change, and if (b) the primary memory element does not experience a state change, the secondary memory element carries out a state change.
Abstract:
A method is described for detecting a correlation between at least two ring oscillators and to a system for carrying out the method. In the method a memory field is used in which combinations of concatenations are each assigned a bit.
Abstract:
A method for data transmission between a sensor and an electronic control and/or regulating unit (ECU), the transmitted sensor data (x1, . . . , xt) and the sensor being secured against a manipulation. The system provides a particularly simple, but very secure method for manipulation protection, the sensor data (x1, . . . , xt) being transmitted via a first logical data transmission channel at a first data transmission rate, and security data (MAC; CMAC) for securing the transmitted sensor data and/or the sensor being transmitted via a second logical data transmission channel at a second data transmission rate from the sensor to the ECU. At least once at the beginning of a data transmission session, a session key is transmitted from the ECU to the sensor via a third logical data transmission channel and received by the latter, the session key being used at least for the ongoing session to generate the security data.
Abstract:
A method is described for detecting a correlation between at least two ring oscillators and to a system for carrying out the method. In the method a memory field is used in which combinations of concatenations are each assigned a bit.
Abstract:
This application relates to methods for enriching DNA from a first cell type from a sample comprising DNA from the first cell type and DNA from a second cell type, wherein the first cell type methylates DNA to a lesser extent than the second cell type. DNA is enriched by, selecting for fragments by size after digestion of the sample with a methylation-sensitive restriction enzyme. Cell types of interest include fetal cells and cancerous cells. The enriched DNA can be used for a variety of procedures including, detection of a trait of interest such as a disease trait, or a genetic predisposition thereto, gender typing and parentage testing.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of enriching fetal nuclei from a sample. Enriched fetal nuclei can be used in a variety of procedures including, detection of a trait of interest such as a disease trait, or a genetic predisposition thereto, gender typing and parentage testing.
Abstract:
A tissue embedder comprising a transport mechanism for an input member, the input member adapted to hold a plurality of tissue supports, with each tissue support associated with a mould, a wax bath and a cooling station wherein the transport mechanism moves the input member from a wax bath to a cooling station.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of enriching fetal nuclei from a sample. Enriched fetal nuclei can be used in a variety of procedures including, detection of a trait of interest such as a disease trait, or a genetic predisposition thereto, gender typing and parentage testing.
Abstract:
A circuit configuration includes a first input for inputting a first set of digital input data, an output for outputting digital output data, and a control input for receiving a control signal. At least two register units are provided and the circuit configuration is designed to write, as a function of the control signal, into a first register unit optionally at least a part of the first set of input data or of the second set of digital input data and to write into a second register unit optionally at least a part of the first set of input data or of the second set of input data.
