Abstract:
The present invention provides compositions and methods for effectuating the localized expression of anti-CTLA-4 antibody proximal to a target tissue in a patient.
Abstract:
This invention relates to an electric double layer capacitor electrochemical cylinder (11) made up of concentric layers of capacitors (16), current collectors (14a, 14b, 14c), ion specific membranes (18, 18a, 18b) and dielectric spacer (20) wrapped around an inner support tube (12) that can be used as a high capacitance capacitor and to remove dissolved solids from a liquid stream such as water, acid, aqueous or non-aqueous.

Abstract:
Systems and methods are disclosed for editing pre-existing source code to remove non-functional commentary. In one exemplary embodiment, there is provided a method for processing the pre-existing source code and providing a cleansed version of source code. Moreover, the method includes identifying the non-functional commentary in the pre-existing code; cutting the non-functional commentary from the pre-existing code; and providing an edited version of code absent the non-functional commentary. Other exemplary embodiments may include generating reference information that associates the non-functional commentary with the locations in the pre-existing code from where the non-functional commentary was deleted.

Abstract:
A high tensile strength, highly conductive flexible composite sheet consisting of fibrillated PTFE polymers, performance enhancing dopants, and carbon particles useful in electrochemical devices such as flow through capacitors, capacitive deionization, electronic water purification, fuel cells, capacitors, super-capacitors and a method of preparation. The method consists of mixing the materials and calendering to the desired thickness and strength all at room temperature and leaving the material in a wet state without further drying.
Abstract:
Airports and other public places require security measures for the screening of human subjects for illicit objects and materials concealed from view beneath clothing. However, at present most of such screening processes involve only metal detectors, which are inherently incapable of detecting non-metallic illicit objects and materials. For this reason, there remains a strong need for novel systems and methods that can detect all types of materials. The present invention provides for a portal detection system that is configured for safe, rapid, and non-invasive scanning of human subjects. For this purpose, the portal detection system utilizes acoustic technology to achieve this end. The portal detection systems of the present invention may optionally be used in conjunction with conventional metal detection means. The invention encompasses portal detection systems, their use in scanning human subjects, and corresponding methods of scanning human subjects for illicit objects and substances.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and a device for pelletizing unprocessed cellulosic fibrous material on an industrial scale, and in particular to the use of said unprocessed cellulosic fibrous material pellets as a combustible fuel product.
