Abstract:
PREPARATION OF A POLYOLEFIN FFOAM BY EXTRUDING A COMBINATION OF MATERIALS INCULDING A CHEMICALLY INERT, PARTICULATE NUCLEATION SYSTEM, AN EXPANDING AGENT TOGETHER WITH PETROLEUM NAPTHA WHICH PROMOTES FOAMING IN A LOW PRESSURE AMBIENT, AN IONOMER, AND A BARRIER MAATERIAL OF HIGH MELT STRENGTH WHICH IMPROVES THE PROPERTIES OF THE POLYMER AND ALSO SERVES DURING FOAMING AS A BLOCKING MECHANISM AGAINST POST-EXTRUSION CELL COLLAPSE.
