A static PLA not requiring a device for leakage compensation for its minterms. Once evaluation of inputs is commenced, the evaluation is completed and the results stored in a latch even if the clock is halted during the evaluation. A dummy minterm and output line provide a timing signal to reinitiate precharge. No conduction paths to ground exist at the output lines of the array once evaluation is completed.

A device and method for mapping information streams to MAC layer queues, the method includes: utilizing a distributed media access control scheme to determine a configuration of the network; and adjusting an adjustable filter such as to map application parameters to the MAC layer queues, in response to the configuration of the network.

A method for exchanging information over a wireless network, the method includes: (i) providing a distributed media access controller and a high communication layer component, the high communication layer component includes a high communication layer hardware and a high communication layer software; and (ii) utilizing the distributed media access controller and the high communication layer component to exchange information. The utilizing includes applying a centralized media access control scheme and by the high communication layer component, and maintaining at least one endpoint data structure by the high communication layer software while maintaining at least one transfer operational list data structure by the high communication layer hardware. An apparatus that includes a distributed media access controller and a high communication layer component. The high communication layer component includes a high communication layer hardware and a high communication layer software, and the high communication layer component hardware includes a hardware routine execution module. The distributed media access controller and the high communication layer component are adapted to exchange information. A method for expanding a range of an ultra wide band wireless network, the method includes: (i) providing a first network and an external device, the first network includes multiple devices that receive ultra wide band wireless transmissions from each other, the external device is capable of receiving a transmission from a first device of the first network but not capable of receiving a transmission from a second device of the first network; and (ii) allowing the first device to relay transmissions between the external device and the second device. An ultra wide band device that includes: (i) a receiver, adapted to receive transmissions from members of a first network and from an external device not capable of receiving transmissions from a second device of the first network, and (ii) a transmitter, adapted to transmit information to members of the first network and to the external device; wherein the device is adapted to relay transmission from the second device of the first network to the external device.
