Abstract:
A laser measuring method in a laser measuring system, which comprises a rotary laser system for projecting a laser beam by rotary irradiation and at least one photodetection system having at least one photodetector for receiving the laser beam, comprising a step of emitting at least two fan-shaped laser beams by the rotary laser system, at least one of the fan-shaped laser beams being tilted, a step of receiving the laser beams at least at three known points by the photodetection system, a step of obtaining elevation angles with respect to the rotary laser system based on photodetection signals which are formed when the photodetector receives the laser beam, and a step of measuring an installing position of the rotary laser system based on elevation angles and position data at the three known points.
Abstract:
An external fixation device includes a frame assembly having a first arc segment and a second arc segment. The first arc segment is for interconnection to a first bone portion. The second arc segment is for interconnection to a second bone portion. The first arc segment is coupled to the second arc segment for relative rotation. The external fixation assembly additionally includes an articulating module. The articulating module includes a central member, a first pivot segment and a second pivot segment. The first pivot segment is coupled to the central member for driven rotation about a first pivot axis. The second pivot segment is coupled to the central member for driven rotation about a second pivot axis. The second pivot axis is substantially perpendicular to the first pivot axis.
Abstract:
A housing contains a slidable spool operable to port a first pressurized fluid line to a fluid motor, and a housing reservoir has a float movable with a fluid level. The motor drives a pump which "pumps down" the reservoir. A second pressurized fluid line is directed through a primary fixed orifice and against one end of the spool, acting against a spring bias, and is permitted to exit through an end orifice to the reservoir. The float moves in response to the fluid level and operates to shut off the end orifice flow, thereby building up backpressure to shift the spool, and thus varying outlet flow from the valve in accordance with the reservoir level. Therefore, the reservoir is pumped down in accordance with reservoir build-up.
Abstract:
Frame assembly for external fixation device and associated method. The frame assembly includes a first arc segment and a second arc segment. The first arc segment is for interconnection to a first bone portion. The second arc segment is for interconnection to a second bone portion. The first arc segment is coupled to the second arc segment for controlled relative rotation.
