The instant invention provides a polyethylene composition suitable for film applications and film made therefrom. The linear low density polyethylene composition suitable for film applications according to the present invention comprises: less than or equal to 100 percent by weight of the units derived from ethylene; and less than 35 percent by weight of units derived from one or more α-olefin comonomers; wherein said linear low density polyethylene composition has a density in the range of from 0.890 to 0.915 g/cm3, a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) in the range of from 2.5 to 4.5, a melt index (12) in the range of from 2 to 10 g/10 minutes, a molecular weight distribution (Mz/Mw) in the range of from 2.2 to 3, vinyl unsaturation of less than 0.1 vinyls per one thousand carbon atoms present in the backbone of said composition, and a zero shear viscosity ratio (ZSVR) in the range from 1 to 1.2.

A process for producing an olefin-based polymer in a polymerization reactor including a fluidized bed, a disengaging section and a neck connecting the bed and disengaging section, at least one monomer, in the gas phase, in the presence of at least one catalyst containing at least two transition metals, one of the at least two transition metals being Ti, at least one cocatalyst, a composition having at least one compound selected from formula (I), and/or at least one compound selected from formula (II): (R1CO2)2AlOH (I), (R2)xN(R3OH)y (II); wherein R1 is a hydrocarbon radical containing from 13 to 25 carbons; R2 is a hydrocarbon radical containing from 14 to 26 carbons; R3 is a hydrocarbon radical containing from 1 to 4 carbons; and x+y=3, and x has a value of 1 or 2; and wherein the reactor is operated in a condensed mode and the average height of the fluidized bed is maintained above the neck of the polymerization reactor is provided. A process for the polymerization of olefin monomers comprising contacting ethylene or a mixture of ethylene and one or more C4-8 α olefins with a catalyst composition comprising one or more Group 3-10 transition metal containing, Ziegler-Natta, procatalyst compounds; one or more alkylaluminum cocatalyts; and one or more polymerization control agents, said process being characterized in that at least one such polymerization control agent is an alkyl or aryl. ester of an aliphatic or aromatic (poly)carboxylic acid optionally containing one or more substituents comprising a Group 13, 14, 15, or 16 heteroatom.
