Abstract:
A print head maintenance device. During maintenance, excess ink dispersed from the print head is collected in a collection device. A shuttle moves with the print head in a first direction, with a wiper moves in a second direction wiping remaining ink from the print head. The shuttle returns to an initial position at which time ink collected in the collection device is drained out and absorbed by an absorber.
Abstract:
A printer capable of controlling position of covering a nozzle of an ink cartridge includes a housing, a shaft installed inside the housing, a carriage installed on the shaft in a sliding manner for carrying a first ink cartridge, a first cover for covering a nozzle of the first ink cartridge, and a means for determining type of the first ink cartridge and controlling stopping position of the carriage and the first cover after the first cover covers the nozzle of the first ink cartridge according to the type of the first ink cartridge.
Abstract:
A capping device for capping a print head of a printer includes a cap for capping the print head, a supporting structure for mechanically engaging and disengaging the cap with the print head, and an elastic structure installed inside the cap. The top of the cap is lower than the top of the elastic structure. Before the supporting structure engages the cap with the print head, the top of the elastic structure bends outward and contacts the print head in an incomplete sealed manner.

Abstract:
A maintenance device used for cleaning a print head of an ink cartridge includes a maintenance module including a base, a cap for capping the print head of the ink cartridge, and a cap sled installed on the base in a sliding manner for driving the cap upwards to cover the print head of the ink cartridge. A rack is installed on an end of the cap sled. The maintenance device further includes a pump module for pumping the ink out of the print head of the ink cartridge. The pump module includes a pump gear engaged with a feed gear, a swing gear engaged with the pump gear, and a swing gear when the feed gear drives the pump gear and the pump gear drives the swing arm.
Abstract:
A reproducing apparatus and a retractable feeding apparatus thereof. The reproducing apparatus comprises a body and a retractable feeding apparatus. The body comprises a feeding portion and a feeding opening formed on the feeding portion. The retractable feeding apparatus has a tray movable between a retracted position and a stretched position. The tray includes a rotation shaft and a supporting surface. When the tray is disposed in the retracted position, the tray is received in the feeding portion, and the supporting surface faces the feeding portion. When the tray is disposed in the stretch position, the tray is rotatable between a retracted angle and a feeding angle by the rotation shaft, and the supporting surface aligns to a feeding opening in the feeding angle.

Abstract:
An ink storage module includes an ink flow control device and an air chamber. The ink storage module is accessible to an ink tank and an air-extracting device. The ink flow control device includes an ink storage chamber and a pressure control mechanism. The ink storage chamber is used for receiving and storing ink conveyed from the ink tank. The pressure control mechanism is connected to the ink storage chamber for controlling the connection of an external pressure to the ink storage chamber. The air chamber is disposed at a side of the ink flow control device and is accessible to the ink storage chamber. The air chamber is used for exhausting air extracted by the air-extracting device. When the pressure control mechanism controls the ink storage chamber to cut off the external pressure, the air-extracting device drives ink to flow from the ink tank to the ink storage chamber.
Abstract:
Inkjet printers are provided. An inkjet printer includes a maintenance module, an inkjet unit, a pump, a slider, and a swing gear assembly. The swing gear assembly is connected to a motor of the pump and detachably engaged with the slider. When the motor rotates the swing gear assembly in a first direction to a first angle, the swing gear assembly is engaged with the slider, and the swing gear assembly impels the slider from an initial position to a first position to open the valve. When the motor rotates the swing gear assembly in a second direction to a second angle, the swing gear assembly is engaged with the slider, to separate the slider from the first position and close the valve.
Abstract:
A plurality of blades on a printhead wiper is used for wiping out the residual ink on the printheads having different length. The printhead wiper deforms when wiping out the residual ink on the printheads, allowing a first blade for wiping the long black print head and a second blade for wiping the short color print head. A disadvantage that the first blade having long length cannot completely cover and wipe the color printhead since the UV glue that fixes the color printhead withstands a portion of the first blade can be solved with the second blade having short length.
