Abstract: Risk of visual impairment including Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) and cataracts increase with age. This increased risk can be caused by changes in the structure and function of the eye or changes in structures of the central nervous system that support visual perception. The present invention comprises fruit flavored, chewable formulations of supplements for reducing the risk of AMD. Chewable dosage forms of the invention are preferred over other formulations and may increase compliance in an aging population, who are more likely to require an eye health supplement and have an increased risk of experiencing dysphagia.

Abstract: A system for retrieving an image from a network comprises: (1) a server application; (2) a plurality of image files, each storing an image in a plurality of different versions, and connected to the server application; (3) a client application which enables a user to select and retrieve a desired version of a desired image; and (4) a communication application providing a communication link between the client and server applications wherein, in use, the user can select a desired image and a desired version of that desired image for retrieval and display. The versions of the image are stored such that when a low resolution version of the image has been obtained, a high resolution version can be obtained simply by downloading the difference between the two versions of the image.

Abstract: A system and method for generating, storing and transmitting a layout page containing graphical data correlated to at least one graphical image which has previously been graphically encoded, such that the layout page may be printed either as a complete, full-color image, or as individual color separation plates. The system and method create a set of master data files, having a main master file which stores complete RGB color data for the graphical image, and a correlated set of CMYK master files, each containing graphical data for a single color separation plate for the graphical image. The main master file contains pointers to each of the CMYK master files. The system and method also create a set of preview data files: a set of CMYK preview files essentially only containing a pointer to the corresponding CMYK master file, and a main preview file essentially only containing a pointer to the main master file, and pointers to each of the CMYK preview files.
