Abstract: A textile for use as a reusable pad, e.g., a reusable incontinence pad, is provided that is intended to wick and retain moisture or liquid(s), such as bodily fluids (e.g., urine, blood, etc.), away from users of their incontinence pad. Moisture or liquid deposited on an upper surface of the incontinence pad is wicked through one or more layers of material included in the incontinence pad via an increasing capillary gradient using capillary forces. The incontinence pad relies on capillary forces to drive moisture from the incontinent person into the inner layer(s) of the incontinence pad, and leaving a top layer of the incontinence pad dry to the touch. A gradient of capillary size can be present in the incontinence pad in a direction away from the incontinent person, which accordingly encourages liquid to migrate away from the incontinent person and be desirably retained therein.

Abstract: A duvet cover includes first and second fabric layers with a pocket defined between the layers, and which is configured to have an opening defining an entrance to the pocket that can receive a separate fill layer, defined by a blanket or comforter. At least a section of one of the fabric layers defining a flap configured to engage with a corresponding section of the duvet cover and cover the opening via fastening elements. At least some of the fastening elements can be color-coded to identify the size of the bed for which the duvet cover is to cover. One of the fabric layers and the fill layer can include fastening elements that engage one another to secure the fill layer in position within the cover assembly. The duvet cover hides the appearance of the fill layer in the pocket and covers the opening through which the fill layer is received.

Abstract: A simulated duvet cover system provides an easily-manufactured and assembled construction in which a cover layer, defined by top and bottom fabric sheets with pockets defined therebetween, is configured to be removably coupled to a separate fill layer, defined by a blanket or comforter. The bottom fabric sheet extends inwardly from the periphery of the top fabric sheet to surround a central opening, which the fill layer can be inserted through and then tucked into the pockets. A further backing layer may be connected to the cover layer with non-metallic and non-rigid fasteners such as fabric knot buttons, to cover the central opening. The system hides the appearance of the fill layer when in use, thereby providing a similar appearance to a conventional duvet cover, while still allowing for easy removal and cleaning of the system with industrial laundering equipment or the like.

Abstract: Described is a controlled weight distribution woven terry fabric that includes a body having a first end and a second end, wherein the first and second ends are opposite one another and a first side edge 34 and a second side edge, wherein the first and second side edges are opposite one another and generally perpendicular to the first and second opposite ends. The terry fabric further includes a plurality of zones extending across the fabric between one of the first and second opposite ends or the first and second opposite edges. Each zone of the plurality of zones has a pile with a pile height and the pile height in a zone differs from the pile height in an adjacent zone and the difference between the pile heights in adjacent zones is in a range between about 0.1 mm and about 2 mm. Also described are articles, such as towels, wash cloths, and bath mats, made from the controlled weight distribution woven terry fabric.

Abstract: Described is a woven terry fabric article that includes a body having a first end and a second end opposite one another, and a first side edge and a second side edge opposite one another and generally perpendicular to the first and second opposite ends. The article further includes a first terry zone having a pile with a first pile height, a second terry zone having a pile with a second pile height, and a first faux dobby zone intermediate to the first and second terry zones. The first faux dobby zone has a pile with one or more pile heights that are visibly distinct from the pile heights of the first and second terry zones. In embodiments, the one or more pile heights in the faux dobby zone are less than the pile height of the adjacent zones, such as 50% less, 40% less, or 35% less.

Abstract: A personal protective equipment (PPE) rear opening isolation gown is provided that can be used by workers in the healthcare industry. The isolation gown is reusable and can provide for ease of doffing, such as in a pull forward manner that is consistent with how current users of disposable isolation gowns are accustomed to removing such gowns, without substantial risk of damaging (e.g., tearing) the gown and without substantial risk of the transfer of potentially harmful microorganisms, body fluids, and/or particulate material, to the neck or hair on the head or neck of a wearer. The reusable, rear opening isolation gown is provided with an easy release fastener(s) that provides a safe and secure hold when fastened but permits the gown to be removed easily, quickly, and more safely than other reusable options.

Abstract: An adjustable height bed skirt is provided for covering a gap defined between a mattress of a bed and a floor surface upon which the bed sits. The bed skirt includes a decking panel with a plurality of fastening strips spaced-apart from one another and extending along the bottom edge and side edges of the decking panel. A skirt panel includes a fastening strip that can be removably coupled to one of the plurality of fastening strips on the decking panel to adjust a vertical drop height that the skirt panel covers as it extends along three sides of the bed. The skirt panel includes corner pleats and the decking panel includes bottom corner portions, each of which do not include the fastening strips. Additionally, color-coded indicia elements are applied to the fastening strips on the decking panel to assist with connecting the skirt panel in the desired position.

Abstract: A duvet cover system having customizable variable performance includes a cover layer and a duvet insert received in a pocket of the cover layer. The duvet insert includes first and second insert portions that may be removably connected to one another along a junction such that the insert portions cover different sides of the bed when the system is spread over the bed. The first insert portion defines at least two quantifiable performance factors including a first thermal retention value and a first air permeability value, and the second insert portion defines at least two quantifiable performance factors in a similar manner. However, these quantifiable performance factors of the first and second insert portions are different from one another to provide the different sleep experiences desired by users on opposite sides of the bed. The system still provides the desired appearance of a conventional duvet when fully assembled.
