Abstract:
A system including a plurality of coil elements is provided. Each coil element is arranged with a first switch and a second switch. In a first mode, the first switch and the second switch are turned off to split each coil element into a first upper coil portion and a second lower coil portion, to transmit first radio frequency signals. In a second mode, the first switch and second switch are turned on to transform each coil element into a loop coil to simultaneously transmit or receive multiple second radio frequency signals.
Abstract:
A multi-channel coil assembly capable of being configured to operate in a first mode and a second mode is provided. The multi-channel coil assembly includes a plurality of coil elements and a plurality of mode switches. Each of the plurality of mode switches is switchably coupled to at least two of the coil elements. In the first mode, at least one of the mode switches is uncoupled to the coil elements forming a hyperthermia array. The hyperthermia array is configured to transmit first radio frequency signals in response to multiple first input signals supplied thereto. In the second mode, at least one of the mode switches is coupled to the coil elements forming a magnetic resonance (MR) array. The MR array is configured to transmit or receive second radio frequency signals in response to multiple second input signals supplied thereto.
Abstract:
Multiplexed analysis of molecular structures of samples. A plurality of sample wells is arranged on a substrate. A plurality of electrodes is fabricated on a first side of the substrate. The electrodes are disposed on the side of the substrate exposed to the sample wells. The electrodes include working electrodes, counter electrodes, and optionally include reference electrodes. At least two of the sample wells includes a plurality of working electrodes. The plurality of electrodes is configured to allow electrochemical analysis of the associated sample wells in a multiplexed fashion. The plurality of electrodes is electrically coupled to an interface to a sample analysis system. The interface to the sample analysis system can include contacts or connections. The sample analysis system controls a signal to the electrodes in a multiplexed fashion and performs the electrochemical analysis.
Abstract:
A method, device, and system for establishing a label switching path (LSP) in fast rerouting (FRR) switching are provided, which can ensure that an ingress point and a merge point (MP) refresh path information in time. The method includes that first messages are respectively sent to an ingress point and an MP on an LSP, where the first messages carry information of holding a path refreshing state, so that the ingress point and MP determine the time of holding the path refreshing state according to the information of holding the path refreshing state; and second messages are respectively sent to the ingress point and the MP in the time of holding the path refreshing state, where the second messages carry information of refreshing a path state, so that the ingress point and MP establish the LSP according to the information of refreshing the path state.
Abstract:
This invention provides a systems and methods for regulating temperature and heat transfer in applications in which it is desirable to maintain temperature uniformity such as thermal cycling applications. A heat block is used to rapidly transfer heat to or from a set of one or more reaction vessels.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to Marasmius androsaceus L.es Fr extract, a compound of formula I, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, and to methods for their preparation, pharmaceutical composition comprising the same as well as use of the extract or the compound in the preparation of a medicament for the prevention and/or treatment of hypertension and its related diseases.

Abstract:
A ceramic mould slurry is disclosed for forming moulds and metal castings of improved surface quality. The slurry comprises a binder, a gelling agent, a first refractory material having a density of &rgr;1 and a mean particle size of &agr;1, and a second refractory material having a density of &rgr;2 and a mean particle size of &agr;2, wherein &rgr;1>&rgr;2 and &agr;1
Abstract:
A micromachined fluid handling device having improved properties. The valve is made of reinforced parylene. A heater heats a fluid to expand the fluid. The heater is formed on unsupported silicon nitride to reduce the power. The device can be used to form a valve or a pump. Another embodiment forms a composite silicone/parylene membrane. Another feature uses a valve seat that has concentric grooves for better sealing operation.
Abstract:
A micromachined multi-layered microbellows-style actuator capable of delivering larger deflections compared to a single layered flat membrane of comparable size. Anchor structures are disclosed that improve the strength of the microbellows membrane. A characterization apparatus is used to measure microbellows membrane performance. Thermopneumatic actuators having a resistive heater chip are also disclosed.
