Abstract: A method of making a multiple tendon, prestressed segmented concrete beam includes the steps of locating and stressing the tendons so as to produce equal compressive prestress laterally across the beam. The method eliminates the vertical end splitting which has occurred during the manufacture of multiple tendon beams in the past.
