Abstract: The disclosed medical dressing includes multiple adhesives. A first adhesive can strongly secure to the medical device, while a gentle adhesive secures to skin. Therefore, the medical device is secure, while the skin is in contact with a gentle adhesive. Selection of the adhesive, as well as the positioning of the adhesive on the medical dressing disclosed result in a medical dressing that effectively secures a medical device to a patient, while gently securing to skin.

Abstract: The disclosed wound dressing assembly includes an absorbent body with removeably attached tape strips partially secured to the absorbent body for a simple and efficient way to provide for securement of an absorbent body while also making tape strips readily available for additional securement needs. The wound dressing assembly comprises an absorbent body comprising a first skin-facing surface and a second surface, opposite the first surface, a first tape strip comprising a substrate coated with a soft, elastomeric adhesive, wherein a first portion of the first tape strip is removeably secured to the absorbent body, and wherein a second portion of the first tape strip is removably secured to a tape release layer to form a tab.

Abstract: Medical articles comprising a conformable wound dressing and delivery system. The wound dressing generally comprises a backing having a first major surface and a second major surface, an adhesive on the second major surface of the backing, and an absorbent pad proximate the second major surface of the backing. The backing extends beyond the perimeter of the absorbent pad, typically beyond the entire perimeter of the pad. The perimeter of the wound dressing has a concave feature that exhibits a local minimum. An axis extends from the local minimum to the perimeter of the wound dressing opposite the local minimum. The carrier overlies at least a portion of the backing on each side of the axis but does not overlie the backing along the axis. The wound dressing is especially designed for use on round or irregular shaped body parts, such as an elbow or heel.
