Abstract: A system and method for interactively communicating with a field device of an industrial automation system for performing a function in relation to monitoring and controlling an industrial process of a power plant includes a field device is associated with a gateway interface device (GID) including NLP algorithm, and communicatively coupled to an interactive device. The GID receives a first instruction associated with the function in relation to monitoring and controlling the industrial process, in natural language format, and converts the first instruction into a second instruction based on the NLP algorithm, where the second instruction has structured format native to the field device. The GID sends the second instruction to the field device for performing the function, receives an information associated to the function performed by the field device, and sends the information for displaying in the interactive device, the function performed by the field device.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a flowmeter for monitoring physical parameters of fluid passing through the flowmeter. The flowmeter being installed in a plant and communicatively connected through a gateway device to a server having a virtual model. The flowmeter comprising: a processing unit for computing a first processed data of a physical parameter associated with the fluid measured by the flowmeter. The flowmeter receives a second processed data from the server having the virtual model, wherein the virtual model provides the second processed data by computing the second processed data based on the first processed data and data from at least one sensor provisioned in the plant. The present invention also provides for a system for monitoring physical parameters of fluid passing through a pipe in a plant with the flowmeter.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a verification device for verifying a field device. The verification device comprises a repository and verification module. The repository comprises a plurality of verification definition data sets, each verification definition data set associated with a type of field device and comprises one or more sets of threshold values of one or more corresponding operational parameters for the corresponding type of field device. The verification module obtains a corresponding verification definition data set associated with the field device under verification; measures values of the operational parameters of the field device under verification in accordance with the corresponding verification definition data set and compares the measured values of the operational parameters with corresponding threshold values of the operational parameters from a set of threshold values of the operational parameters from the corresponding verification definition data set.
