Abstract: An anti-fog coating composition to form a crosslinked film comprising a prepolymer and at least one amine bearing crosslinker is disclosed. The prepolymer comprises one or more charged monomer residues, one or more hydrophilic uncharged monomer residues, and one or more amine reactive monomer residues. The crosslinked film has a change in haze value of less than 30% when exposed to fog conditions for a period longer than 30 seconds. A kit comprising a first compartment comprising the prepolymer and a second compartment comprising the amine bearing crosslinker is also disclosed. The anti-fog film and a coated article comprising the anti-fog coating are also described herein. A method of making anti-fog coated substrate by applying the composition thereto is also disclosed.

Abstract: A composition for forming a protective coating on an electronic device that is in the form of a non-Newtonian fluid that exhibits both viscous and elastic properties, and that forms at least one coating that is hydrophobic, oleophobic, or oleophilic is disclosed. The viscous and elastic properties associated with the non-Newtonian fluid allows the composition to redistribute after being applied as a coating an electronic device. Methods for protecting an electronic device from liquid contaminants by applying the disclosed composition and electronic devices comprising the composition are also disclosed. An electronic device, such as a printed circuit board, having a film made of the composition is also disclosed.

Abstract: A composition for reducing friction or stiction of a surface is disclosed. The composition comprises at least one organosilane, at least one organophosphorus, or a combination of at least one organosilane and at least one organophosphorus. The composition further comprises at least one polymer. Methods of applying the composition to a surface are also disclosed. Non-limiting examples of surfaces to which the composition can be applied include metal, metal alloys, metal oxide, glass, ceramic, or plastic substrates, and combinations thereof. Articles comprising at least one surface having been treated with the composition are also disclosed. Non-limiting examples of such articles include windows, watches and watch bands, screens, monitors, high-touch surfaces, electronic products, housing for electronics, and combinations thereof. Such articles can also exhibit enhanced hydrophobicity and/or anti-corrosion properties compared to untreated articles.

Abstract: There is disclosed a composition for forming a conformal gel coating to protect a substrate from various environments, wherein the composition comprises at least one film former, at least one additive and optionally at least one solvent. The composition is deformable, flowable, electrically insulating, and does not contain fluorine when applied as a coating. Gel coatings, methods of applying such coating to substrates, as well as the coated substrates are also disclosed. Non-limiting examples of such substrates include a printed circuit board, an assembled electronic device or an automotive part.

Abstract: A coating composition comprising at least one film forming component including a water-based carrier, a resin and at least one additive where the coating composition does not contain a high volatile organic compound (VOC) content and the resin is present in an amount sufficient and configured to form a conformal film when applied to a substrate at room temperature is disclosed.
