The present invention concerns an improved depolymerization process of contaminated polymers such as PMMA, comprising the separation of contaminants from the resulting monomers, by using appropriate agents for trapping the contaminants.

A process for the manufacture of copolymers of ethylene and of at least one vinyl ester, including the following steps: a) fermentation of renewable starting materials so as to produce at least one alcohol comprising ethanol; b) dehydration of the alcohol obtained so as to produce at least one alkene comprising ethylene and, optionally, purification of the alkene so as to obtain ethylene, c) copolymerization of the ethylene with at least one vinyl ester, d) isolation of the copolymer obtained. A process for the synthesis of an unsaturated product by cross metathesis between a first unsaturated compound having at least 8 carbon atoms and a second unsaturated compound having less than 8 carbon atoms, the first unsaturated compound being capable of producing an unsaturated coproduct comprising more than 14 carbon atoms, by homometathesis, said process including at least one production phase which includes: feeding a reactor with the first unsaturated compound; feeding the reactor with the second unsaturated compound; feeding the reactor with at least a first metathesis catalysts, then feeding the reactor with at least a second metathesis catalyst; withdrawing a product stream arising from the reactor; the turnover number of the first catalyst being higher than the turnover number of the second catalyst so as to achieve the same target degree of conversion of the first unsaturated compound.

The invention relates to a method for separation of a polymeric article comprising at least one thermoplastic polymer, and at least one other constituent, wherein said separation method comprises: —a step of contacting the polymeric article with a liquid medium suitable for propagating shock waves, and —a step of applying a pulsed field to the liquid medium, so as to generate shock waves capable of dividing the polymeric article at an interface between the thermoplastic polymer and the other constituent.

The present invention relates to the use of a formulation which is liquid at ambient temperature comprising at least one terpene derivative for the fixing and the release of hydrogen in at least one hydrogenation/dehydrogenation cycle of said formulation. The invention also relates to the use of said formulation for the transportation and the handling of hydrogen resulting from the steam cracking of petroleum products, of inevitable hydrogen resulting from chemical reactions, such as the electrolysis of salt, or of hydrogen resulting from the electrolysis of water.

The present invention relates to a composition which comprises at least one α,ω-amino-alkanoic acid or ester and at least one alkanoic ester or acid, characterised in that: the α,ω-amino-alkanoic acid or ester has formula H2N-(CH2)n—COOR, wherein n=9 to 13 and R is an alkyl group or a hydrogen; the alkanoic ester or acid has formula R1-COOR2, wherein R1 is a straight or branched alkyl group with formula CmH2m+1 or CmH2m−3, wherein m=6 to 20 and R2 is an alkyl group or a hydrogen; the molar ratio between the alkanoic acid(s) or ester(s) and the α,ω-amino-alkanoic acid(s) or ester(s) is in the range from 0.001 to 0.4%. The present invention also relates to novel methods for obtaining such a composition.

A process for the synthesis of a monounsaturated nitrile-ester (acid) by cross metathesis starting from an unsaturated compound I including at least one trivalent nitrile, acid or ester functional group, wherein the process includes a stage in which two types of cross metathesis are alternated consecutively: — a first type of cross metathesis cm1 with an acrylic compound II chosen from acrylonitrile, acrylic acid or an acrylic ester, one of the compounds I or II including a nitrile functional group and the other of these compounds II or I including an acid or ester functional group, and—a second type of cross metathesis cm2 with a light C2 to C4 alkene compound III. Also, a process for the synthesis of an α,ω-amino ester (acid) obtained by a process including a stage in which the two types of cross metathesis defined above are alternated consecutively, followed by a hydrogenation stage.
