Abstract: In alternative embodiments, provided are chimeric or recombinant rabbit antihuman p40 (p63 isoform DeltaNp63, or ΔNp63) antibodies, including products of manufacture and kits comprising them, and methods for making and using them, where the antibodies can be used for in vitro diagnostics by immunohistochemistry (IHC). In alternative embodiments, antibodies as provided herein are used in IHC protocols to diagnose a cancer, for example, a squamous-cell carcinoma (SCC) or a lung cancer such as non-small cell lung carcinoma (NCSLC) or pulmonary SCC.
