    Abstract: An input device includes a display that displays buttons visible through an operation surface of a top panel, a detector that detects a center position of a finger facing the operation surface, and a distance from the operation surface to the finger, and a controller that controls the display based on a detector output and determines an input with respect to a button. The controller displays a cursor image on the display at a finger opposing position based on the finger center position, varies a cursor size according to the above described distance, determines a selected button based on the finger center position, and offsets a cursor center position from the finger center position, and surrounds the selected button with the cursor, in a case where the selected button protrudes from the cursor when the cursor center position is aligned to match the finger center position.

    Abstract: A contactless input device includes a plurality of sensor electrodes and a determination unit. The plurality of sensor electrodes are configured to, when a hand performs an operational input over an operating surface of an operating part in a contactless manner, detect individual capacitances correlated to proximity of the hand to the operating surface. The determination unit is configured to calculate sharpnesses of the hand at a plurality of different locations in plan view based on the respective capacitances detected by the plurality of sensor electrodes and determine a location of the operational input based on the sharpnesses.

    Abstract: A touch screen includes sensor electrodes to detect an object in proximity in accordance with a capacitance; a display device at a position overlapping the sensor electrodes; a detector connected to the sensor electrodes and configured to detect the capacitance between the sensor electrodes and the object; and a controller to control an image displayed by the display device based on an output from the detector and determine an input content input by the object. The controller is configured to cause the display device to display: a GUI button image representing an input operation area; and an input content display image representing the input content input by an operation performed on the GUI button. Upon the capacitance detected by the detector being a first threshold or more, the controller is configured to move the input content display image to a position not overlapping the sensor electrode that detects maximum capacitance.
