Abstract: A capacitance type input apparatus includes a plurality of touch switches; and a determining unit configured to determine which one touch switch among the plurality of touch switches a touch operation is performed on, based on outputs of the plurality of touch switches. The determining unit performs a first comparison of comparing a first threshold used for determining whether the touch operation has been performed, with each of the outputs of the plurality of touch switches, performs a second comparison of comparing an output that is higher than the first threshold among the outputs of the plurality of touch switches, with a plurality of comparison thresholds that are greater than first threshold and that are different from each other, and determines which one touch switch among the plurality of touch switches the touch operation is performed on, based on a comparison result of the first or second comparison.

Abstract: An input apparatus includes a plurality of electrodes spaced apart from each other, a signal processing unit configured to output an input signal depending on a change in a capacitance of each electrode, and a determination unit configured to determine whether an operation object comes in a proximity of at least one of electrodes based on input signals output from the signal processing unit. The determination unit makes a determination such that in a case where one of the input signals is greater than or equal to a first threshold value and an integral value of another of the plurality of input signals in a predetermined integration period is greater than or equal to a second threshold value, it is determined that an operation object has come in a proximity of an electrode corresponding to the one of the input signals.

Abstract: An electrostatic coordinate input device includes: a plurality of sensor electrodes disposed on the rear surface side of a manipulation surface; a measuring circuit that measures a capacitance between each of the plurality of sensor electrodes and an indicating body, with which a manipulation input is performed; and a calculating unit that calculates the coordinate of the indicating body according to a plurality of capacitances measured by the measuring circuit. The calculating unit repeatedly executes first calculation processing, in which the calculating unit measures the coordinate of the indicating body from the plurality of capacitances and then calculates an average moving speed of the indicating body according to the measured coordinate of the indicating body, as well as second calculation processing. In the second calculation processing, an average is calculated between a predicted coordinate and the measured coordinate of the indicating body, as the coordinate of the indicating body.
