The wireless communication includes a gNode (gNB) configured to indicate a time domain resource allocation within one Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) size in a downlink control information (DCI), and to transmit a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) with a Discrete Fourier Transform-spread-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (DFT-s-OFDM) waveform in accordance with the time domain resource allocation within the one DFT size.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) can include processing circuitry coupled to memory. To configure the UE for New Radio (NR) communications above a 52.6 GHz carrier frequency, the processing circuitry is to decode radio resource control (RRC) signaling to obtain a cyclic shift value in time domain. The cyclic shift value is associated with a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) antenna port (AP) of a plurality of available DM-RS APs. A single carrier based waveform DM-RS sequence corresponding to the DM-RS AP is generated using a base sequence and the cyclic shift value. The single carrier based waveform DM-RS sequence is encoded with uplink data for transmission to a base station using a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) using a carrier above the 52.6 GHz carrier frequency.

Abstract: An approach is described for a method for a fifth generation (5G) wireless communication or a new radio (NR) system that includes the following steps. The method includes generating data samples associated with a sampling rate. The method further includes generating a waveform by populating a first slot and a second slot in a subframe of the waveform using the data samples, wherein slot durations of the first slot and the second slot in the subframe of the waveform equal respective durations of a first slot and a second slot in a subframe of a reference waveform to thereby align the first slot and the second slot in the subframe of the waveform with the respective first slot and second slot in the subframe of the reference waveform. The method further includes transmitting the waveform using front end circuitry, wherein the waveform is a single carrier waveform, and wherein the reference waveform is an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) waveform.

Abstract: One or more computer-readable media (CRM) are disclosed. Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described for methods and apparatus for carrying out wireless communication using Long Term Evolution (LTE) in a frequency band with low peak-to-average-power. The approach includes precoding, in the frequency domain, a plurality of physical channel signals, followed by multiplexing, where the procoding is performed according to predetermined codes with a code length selected based on a length of an entire signal of the multiplexed precoded plurality of physical channel signals. In addition, the approach includes being configured to map the multiplexed precoded plurality of physical channel signals to subcarriers in the frequency band, as well to generate a time domain waveform based on the mapped signals.
