The invention relates to a liquid herbicidal composition comprising a) glufosinate, or a salt thereof, an amine component; and a compound of formula (I) [R-(A)x-OSO3−]-M+ (I); wherein al variables have a meaning as defined herein. It also relates to a method for increasing the herbicidal activity of liquid herbicidal compositions comprising glufosinate or a salt thereof, and a compound of formula (I) comprising the step of contacting the liquid herbicidal composition with the amine component; and to a method for treating plant propagation material comprising the step of treating plant propagation material with the herbicidal composition.

The invention relates to an agrochemical composition comprising a compound of formula (I) [R-(A)x-OSO3−]-M+ (I); wherein M+ is a monoethanolammonium cation, and wherein the further variables have a meaning as defined herein. It also relates to an adjuvant solution comprising said compound of formula (I) and an organic solvent. Other objects are a compound of formula (I), wherein R is a linear alkyl and M+ is ethanolammonium and wherein the other variables have a meaning as defined herein; and a method of controlling undesired vegetation, and/or for regulating the growth of plants, wherein the agrochemical composition is allowed to act on the respective pests, their environment, or the crop plants to be protected from the respective pest, on the soil and/or on the crop plants and/or on their environment.

The present invention relates to an aqueous co-formulation of metalaxyl, which contains: i. metalaxyl, in particular metalaxyl-M; ii. at least one organic pesticide compound PC1, which has a solubility in water of at most 1 g/l at 20° C. and a melting point in the range from 40 to 100° C.; and iii. an aqueous phase containing water and at least one surfactant; wherein the at least one organic pesticide compound PC1 is present in the form of particles suspended in the aqueous phase and where metalaxyl is essentially present dissolved in the aqueous phase and where the surfactant comprises at least one salt of an oligomer or polymer having a plurality of arylsulfonyl groups. The invention also relates to a process for preparing such formulations, which comprises the following steps: a) providing a suspension of metalaxyl in an aqueous phase containing water, at least one surfactant, which comprises at least one salt of an oligomer or polymer having a plurality of arylsulfonyl groups, b) treating the suspension until metalaxyl is essentially dissolved, to obtain an aqueous composition of metalaxyl, wherein metalaxyl is present in dissolved form; c) mixing the aqueous composition of metalaxyl obtained in step b) with an aqueous suspension of the further organic pesticide compound PC1.
