Abstract: This application relates to an overload and unbalanced load detecting system for a railway and a detecting method. This system includes at least one steel rail. A rail web of each steel rail is provided with two sampling points at two sides between every two adjacent rail sleepers, respectively, and the two sampling points on one side are symmetrically disposed about the steel rail with respect to the two sampling points on the other side. A fiber-optic sensitive element used for continuously measuring a load when a train passes through the two sampling points is obliquely fixed at each sampling point, and two fiber-optic sensitive elements on the same side of each steel rail are disposed at an angle of 90° with each other.

Abstract: The invention discloses an optical fiber detection device with a steel rail as an elastomer and a railway overload and unbalanced load detection system, which solve the problems that strength of the steel rail is destroyed due to a joint style of a shear force detection device and the steel rail and an output curve can easily vary due to variations of an external force and temperature or man-made operation factors in the prior art. According to key points of the technical scheme, the optical fiber detection device comprises a shear force detection device, the shear force detection device comprises an optical fiber sensitive element which is fixed on a neutral axis of the steel rail through low-energy spot welding, the technical effects of outputting stable shear force waveform without being interfered by vibration of the steel rail and installation orientation convenient for polishing and welding are realized by virtue of arrangement orientation of the optical, fiber sensitive element, an optical fiber made of a new material is used for replacing an old material and being provided as a sensitive element, and a new combination technology with the new material as basis forms a metering and, measuring system.
