Abstract: Disclosed herein is a methacrylic resin prepared using a mercaptan and a lactam as an initiation system. The methacrylic resin includes an alkyl(meth)acrylate unit and a (meth)acrylamide unit, and has a weight average molecular weight of about 50,000 g/mol to about 500,000 g/mol and a glass transition temperature of about 125° C. to about 145° C.
