Abstract: A DC motor is configured so that, while either one of a pair of power feeding brushes makes contact with two commutator segments, the other makes contact with only one of two commutator segments. The DC motor is further provided with: a plurality of coils; a filter unit; and a calculation unit. The number of turns of a predetermined coil among the plurality of coils is different from the numbers of turns of the other coils. The filter unit allows the passing of the waveform of current generated on the basis of the fact that the numbers of turns are different from each other, and interrupts the waveform of current generated at the switching of the states of the contacts of the power feeding brushes to the commutator segments. The calculation unit calculates a rotational speed from the waveform passed through the filter unit.

Abstract: The vehicle seat includes: a seat cushion; a seat back; a lifter link mechanism wherein the seat cushion is displaced by a sector gear being displaced; and a speed reducer-equipped motor including a pinion gear engaging with the sector gear; and a first and second restriction portions that stop the rotation of the pinion gear to one side. The sector gear is displaced to one side by the pinion gear being rotated to one side. The displacement of the sector gear to one side is stopped by the rotation of the pinion gear to one side being stopped by the first and second restriction portions. The sector gear is displaced to the other side by the pinion gear being rotated to the other side. The rotation of the pinion gear to the other side is stopped by the displacement of the sector gear to the other side being restricted.

Abstract: An opening-closing body drive device includes a motor that opens and closes an opening-closing body; and a controller that controls driving of the motor. The controller recognizes an arrested position of the motor during a closing action as a reference position and performs an entrapment process in a section excluding a mask section from the reference position to a predetermined position toward an opening direction side. The controller updates the reference position when the arrested position of the motor is located toward a closing direction side of a set position, which is set in the mask section, and does not update the reference position when the arrested position of the motor is located toward an opening direction side of the set position.
