Abstract:
In one embodiment, the present invention is directed to a system with multiple computing hosts each having a hypervisor to provide a virtual environment for the host and one or more containers each including a database instance and at least one database. These databases, and the database instance can be provided as a service to a user of a multi-tenant environment.
Abstract:
A process for preparing a particulate solid is described, which comprises the steps of a) aggregating a dispersion comprising the particles i) and ii) and a liquid medium, wherein i) is 25 to 50 parts by weight of non-polymeric particles having an average particle size of from 1 to 10 microns and having a density of no more than 4 g/cm3; and ii) is 50 to 75 parts by weight of polymer particles having an average particle size of from 50 to 150 nm; b) optionally stabilising the aggregated particles; and c) heating the aggregated particles so as to cause particle coalescence.
Abstract:
Described herein is a system that includes a receiver component that receives gesture data from a sensor unit that is coupled to a body of a gloveless user, wherein the gesture data is indicative of a bodily gesture of the user, wherein the bodily gesture comprises movement pertaining to at least one limb of the gloveless user. The system further includes a location determiner component that determines location of the bodily gesture with respect to a touch-sensitive display apparatus. The system also includes a display component that causes the touch-sensitive display apparatus to display an image based at least in part upon the received gesture data and the determined location of the bodily gesture with respect to the touch-sensitive display apparatus.
Abstract:
A method is disclosed for controlling an internal combustion engine in a vehicle powertrain. A filtered driver demand for torque at vehicle traction wheels is used to determine an engine torque command. The engine torque command is initialized to a percentage of a target engine torque as a function of variables that may include a smoothness factor.
Abstract:
Provided is a computer system and method for interactive and on-demand test environment using automated chat clients. A computer-implemented method includes receiving by a server a request from a computer in the computer test environment to instantiate a chat session with the test computer in the computer test environment wherein the server hosts an instant messaging service, the request identifying the test computer as a chat user; instantiating a chat session in response to the request between the test computer and at least one computer in the computer test environment; accessing data concerning test results performed on the test computer by the server to enable responding to chat session data requests; and responding to chat requests by one or more participants to the chat session via parsing the data concerning the test results accessed by the server. The computer-implemented method also includes broadcasting instant messages from the test computer to the participants of a chat session.
Abstract:
An integrated patch antenna is disclosed. The integrated patch antenna receives at least a first and second band of signals. The integrated patch antenna includes a bottom metallization and first and second upper metallizations disposed about a dielectric material to receive the first and second signal bands. The first and second signal bands may be, for example, a satellite digital audio radio systems (SDARS) band and a global positioning system (GPS) band.
Abstract:
An antenna unit is disclosed. The antenna unit includes a patch antenna element with a dielectric substrate positioned on a circuit board. A parasitically enhanced perimeter extends from the circuit board and encompasses the patch antenna to utilize surface waves in order to enhance low-elevation terrestrial antenna performance.
Abstract:
