Abstract:
An electronic-drum module for connection to one or more electronic-drum pads is provided. The module includes an electronic display, a memory storing audio files for playback when the playback is triggered by a signal received from a pad, and one or more processors coupled to the electronic display and the memory. The processors are configured to play a portion of the audio files when the playback is triggered by the signal received from the one or more electronic-drum pads. The processors are also configured to display, on the display, a user interface for an application, which includes a waveform associated with recorded audio. The processors are also configured to display, on the display, tempo gridlines with a tempo-gridline spacing over the waveform. The module includes a control for adjusting the tempo-gridline spacing. The control is a wheel and is actuated by a rotation of the wheel.

The processors are also configured to receive an instruction to select an available trigger source and display, on the display, a list of available drum kits to associate with the available trigger source. The processors are also configured to display images of the available drum kits in response to receiving an instruction to select an available drum kit.
Abstract:
Electronic percussion instruments with enhanced playing areas and methods and systems for generating electrical signals in response to impacts to a playing surface are disclosed. A semi-permeable playing surface covering an acoustic noise reducing cavity of an electronic percussion instrument may receive an impact within a predefined impact region, and an electrical signal may be generated in response by an electromechanical sensor that senses the impact. In many instances, the generated electrical signal may be configured to be equivalent in magnitude to any other electrical signal generated by the electromechanical sensor, in response to any other received impact within the same predefined impact region.
Abstract:
A guitar input and output dock for a tablet computer is disclosed. The guitar input and output dock includes a dock portion having a cavity configured and arranged to receive a tablet computer therein. The dock portion includes a guitar input, an audio output, and a foot pedal controller input. A foot pedal controller having a foot pedal is electrically connected to the foot pedal controller input. An electrical circuit in the dock portion is configured and arranged to transmit audio input from the guitar input and pedal press information from foot pedal controller to the tablet computer for audio processing and transmit the processed audio from the tablet computer to the audio output.
Abstract:
A water level control for a washing machine provides an integrated unit that may replace standard mechanical water level controls with a microprocessor-based circuit that may provide for more sophisticated water management in a standard washing machine using a non-microprocessor cycle timer.
Abstract:
Fluid delivery equipment, for example for distributing herbicide, is calibrated to provide a correct flow rate by performing a test cycle in which the fluid flows into a measuring device for a predetermined time, after which the volume of fluid in the measuring device is established to determine whether or not the flow rate corresponds to the desired flow rate. The measuring device establishes a flow path having two reverse bends (36, 30) with the reverse bend (36) bypassed by a vent hole (32). The level of liquid in the measuring device after a test is, for example, established by means of a graduated scale provided on a card (40) which is removably attached to a package containing the fluid to be distributed.
Abstract:
Hand-held equipment, for example a herbicide applicator, comprises a handle member 24 and an operative portion 4 extending away from the handle member 24, the equipment further comprising a counterbalancing weight 22 which is releasably and/or displaceably attached to the handle member in such a position as to be capable of counterbalancing the weight of the operative portion. The equipment preferably is an applicator for agrochemicals.
Abstract:
A case for a handheld computing device is disclosed. The case includes a housing sized and dimensioned to receive a handheld computing device securely therein. A data port is configured to electrically connect to the data connector on the handheld computing device. A microprocessor is electrically connected to the data port. The microprocessor is configured and arranged to authorize audio stored on the handheld computing device to play through the data connector and connected data port. Audio filters are electrically connected to the data port. An audio output electrically connector to the audio filters. The case provides that audio may be played through the audio output with wider gain and dynamic range than a standard integrated headphone audio jack of a handheld computing device
Abstract:
An automatic temperature control for a washing machine or the like may adopt in a first embodiment a single triac switched between a hot-water valve and cold-water valve by mechanical switch elements to provide for a range of temperature control via a microprocessor receiving a temperature command input. In a second embodiment two triacs may be used to permit a range of temperature controls to be effected by voltage signals generated by low-voltage low current switches implemented on an integrated circuit board.
