Abstract: Disclosed is a metadata based identifier (ID) interpretation apparatus and method for communication between two nodes present in heterogeneous networks having different ID systems. All of the IDs may be integrally managed using an application layer ID, and communication between nodes having different ID systems may be performed through ID interaction.
