Abstract:
Disclosed is a rolling mill including a frame, at least one pair of working cylinders capable of defining the air gap of the strip to be rolled, as well at least one line for spraying a lubricant and/or coolant fluid, arranged next to the plane of the strip to be rolled. The line is rigidly connected to the frame via a hinged mechanical link, the mechanical link including a resilient unit forcing the line into at least one operational position, toward the plane of the strip, and allowing, in the event that a force on the line tends to separate the line, greater than a threshold value, the deformation of the resilient unit against the return force thereof, and thus the retraction of the line toward a position separated from the at least one operational position.
Abstract:
A method for changing the configuration of a rolling mill of the six-high type in which the rolling mill is changed from a first configuration (C1) of a range of diameters of working cylinders (3′, 4′), keeping the chocks (E1, E2) by turning over the chocks (E2) of the intermediate cylinders (5, 6) and by turning over the chocks (E1) of the working cylinders. A rolling mill as such, suitable for implementing the method is also described.
Abstract:

The installation includes a robotic system (1) suitable for performing the rolling mill roll changing operations. A gripping tool change magazine (MAG) includes a first grasping tool configured for inserting and extracting a work roll, a second grasping tool configured for inserting and extracting first intermediate rolls, a third grasping tool is configured for inserting and extracting second intermediate rolls, and a fourth grasping tool is configured for inserting and extracting sets of rollers.
Abstract:
A grasping tool including a support shaft, as well as a first finger and a second finger, secured to the support shaft, movable relative to one another from a first spacing position between the first finger and the second finger, larger than the length between the distance between a first sidewall and a second sidewall of a work roll, and up to a second position for which the first finger and the second finger are brought close to one another until penetrating respectively a first centering cavity of the first sidewall and a second centering cavity of the second sidewall to ensure grasping of the work roll.
Abstract:
A cassette intended to be provided on a rolling mill, the cassette (1) forming a self-supporting unit including: a roller intended to constitute one of the two intermediate rollers of the rolling mill; two chocks (3) whereon are mounted the ends of the roller (2); at least one support arm (4) of the at least one side bearing member the support arm extending between the two chocks and being mounted pivotingly in relation thereto. The cassette includes at least one pair of support elements (5) receiving the ends of a rotating shaft (6) of the at least one support arm and the two support elements being detachably fastened, respectively, on the two chocks so as to allow the disassembly of the at least one support arm of the chocks and/or the assembly of the at least one support arm on the chocks independently of the disassembly/assembly of the roller.
Abstract:
A method for recycling and filtering rolling oil implemented for a rolling mill M requiring a rolling oil nominal flow rate comprised between 4000 l/min and 30000 l/min in an oil recycling and filtering plant having a circuit including, successively, according to the flow direction of the oil: a dirty oil tank, collecting the rolling oils coming from the rolling mill, a filtering system including several oil filtering devices configured to perform an oil filtering in parallel, a clean oil tank from which the rolling mill is fed with rolling oil at the nominal flow rate. The unclogged muds undergo a secondary treatment by continuous and turbulence-free decantation, thanks to a feed-in of the decanter with mud regulated by a pump.
Abstract:
A rolling mill, in particular a cold rolling mill, including: rolls or even sets of rollers comprising at least one pair of work rolls capable of defining a roll gap of a strip to be rolled, at least one bar for spraying a lubricating and/or cooling fluid, disposed near the plane of the strip to be rolled, a stand inside of which the rolls are arranged, at least one device for adjusting the inclination of the at least one bar comprising an actuator, such as a hydraulic cylinder configured to change the inclination of the bar around the pivot axis. The actuator of the device for adjusting the inclination is arranged, on the second side of the stand, opposite to the first side of the maintenance window.
Abstract:
A robotic system for a plant for rolling a metal strip, the plant including a rolling mill having a roll stand and a set of rolls, internal to the stand, the roll stand having an access opening, possibly closed by a door system, the metal strip extending longitudinally according to a horizontal direction X, and transversely according to a horizontal direction Y, the direction Y being parallel to the axes of the rolls of the rolling mill. The robotic system is suited to ensure the operations of replacing rolls of the rolling mill, by extraction of the worn rolls from the stand of the rolling mill and the deposition thereof on a rack disposed laterally, and/or insertion of new or rectified rolls into the roll stand from rolls disposed in a rack.
Abstract:
A device for filtering oil, including: a tank including an oil inlet and a cover; an at least one removable plate, inside the tank, that can be removed from the tank via the upper opening of the cover. The at least one plate removably receives filtering cartridges. The plate is hollow, forming a collector for the oil filtered by the cartridges of the plate. The plate includes an outlet for filtered oil removably connected to a corresponding outlet of the tank via a connector. The connection includes a first portion rigidly connected to the plate and a second portion rigidly connected to the tank, that are capable of mutually cooperating via a seal in order to provide a sealed connection between the oil outlet of the plate, and the corresponding outlet of the tank, and in order to allow maintenance operations to be performed without intervening in the tank.
Abstract:
