Abstract:
An unattended ground sensor system includes a sensor to produce pixel data from a radiating target within its field of view. The detection of such a target is implemented detectors in the sensor other than those used for imaging. Once a target has been detected, the sensor collects a linear array of pixels data at each sampling period throughout the time interval during which the target is within the field of view of the sensor. The linear arrays of pixels are transmitted to a location remote from the sensor, where they are analyzed to classify and identify the target and an alert is issued to applicable personnel when the classification and identification of the target warrants such.
Abstract:
An electrical assembly comprising an electrical box and a single gang electrical outlet having both a power connector and at least one communications connector and being supported in the box. The electrical outlet is receivable in the box, which has a barrier to isolate the power and communications connectors, but is not receivable in a standard box, which would not have the required barrier, due to the spacing and locations of the mounting fasteners and protrusions extending downwardly near the ends of the outlet. In addition to the electrical outlet with the power and communications connectors, the electrical box can receive a standard single gang outlet therein upon removal of the barrier.
Abstract:
An overrunning clutch comprising a ratchet wheel (1) and a plurality of pawls (2) is disclosed. Each of the pawls (2) is rotationally supported on a disk member (5) by a shaft (3). The clutch is characterized by a permanent magnet (4) being fixed on the disk member (5) between the axes of the disk member (5) and the shaft (3) and facing the tail end of each pawl (2). Because each of the pawls are not driven by a spring in the clutch, the clutch could not be malfunction due to the fatigue failure of the spring in the case of frequent heavy load.
Abstract:
According to an embodiment of the invention, a method and apparatus for symmetric scheduling for parallel execution is described. An embodiment of a method comprises building a queue having one or more drivers; and executing the one or more drivers in the queue using a plurality of processors, wherein the execution of drivers by each of the plurality of processors includes determining whether there is a driver in the queue, determining whether the driver is ready for execution, and if the driver is ready for execution, executing the driver.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a phase-shifting mask having a pattern comprising a plurality of substantially transparent regions and a plurality of substantially opaque regions wherein the mask pattern phase-shifts at least a portion of incident radiation and wherein the phases are substantially equally spaced, thereby increasing resolution of a given lithographic system. Further disclosed is a semiconductor device fabricated utilizing the phase-shifting mask.
Abstract:
A method is for making an integrated circuit on a semiconductor wafer, where the integrated circuit includes circuit features having a desired, relatively small, critical dimension. The method preferably comprises the steps of: designing a reticle including pattern features having a critical dimension to form corresponding circuit features based upon overlap areas defined by a plurality of exposure steps with a shift therebetween so that the circuit features have the desired, relatively small, critical dimension. The designing step preferably includes determining a scaling factor function for relating the critical dimension of the pattern features and the shift to the desired critical dimension of the circuit features and while taking into account that the scaling factor function is also a function of the shift. The method preferably includes steps of fabricating the reticle and using the reticle to make the integrated circuit on the semiconductor wafer based on the plurality of exposure steps. The present invention recognizes that the scaling factor is not a single number, but instead is a non-linear function which is also based upon the shift between exposure steps.
Abstract:
A laser vibrometer for measuring the vibratory characteristics of an object and more specifically, a moving object, has an improved signal to noise ratio due to multiple channels. A laser is split into a plurality of channels and then for each channel split again into a reference beam and a probe beam. The probe beam is directed at the object and the back scattered reflections are collected and compared to the reference beam to determine the vibratory characteristics of the object. The received signals from the multiple channels are different, sequential and non-overlapping.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a JFET device, whose drift region is composed of a first deep well region doped with the second conduction type that is formed on a substrate doped with the first conduction type; the body region includes a second deep well region and channel region doped with the second conduction type; the channel region, located between the first deep well region and the second deep well region, includes two or more third deep well regions doped with the second conduction type that are arranged at equal intervals, with the doping impurities of the spacing region between the adjacent third deep well regions composed of the diffusion impurities of the adjacent third deep well regions; the processing conditions are the same for the three deep well regions. Regulating the pinch-off voltage of the JFET device by regulating the impurity concentration of the deep well region, and the width and number of the respective spacing regions. The present invention further discloses a method for manufacturing the JFET device. The present invention can reduce the pinch-off voltage, and regulate the pinch-off voltage conveniently, easy to meet the requirements for various pinch-off voltages.
Abstract:
A topology structure of a power system is acquired. At least one unification set in the power system is identified based on the topology structure. Devices belonging to the same unification set have the same outage state. The at least one unification set is recorded, so as to concurrently maintain devices belonging to the same unification set. Advantageously, one or more embodiments reduce number of outages caused by power system device maintenance.
Abstract:
An electrical switch having a housing with a support member, a rocker arm pivotally coupled to the support member for movement about an axis A, a first terminal coupled to the housing, and a lever pivotally coupled to the housing for pivotal movement about an axis B. The rocker arm includes a first member located on a first side of the pivot axis A, a second member on a second side of the pivot axis A, and a first movable contact coupled to the first member. The lever is pivoted in a first direction to engage the first member on the rocker arm to move the first movable contact away from the first terminal contact to scrape debris from the first movable contact and the first terminal contact. The lever is pivoted in a second direction to engage the second member on the rocker arm to move the first movable contact into a sliding engagement with the first terminal contact.
