    Abstract: An infant care station is described herein that can include a wall of the infant care station, wherein the wall includes a primary latch and at least one secondary latch that includes a hinge with at least one bottom pin and at least one top pin, wherein the infant care station is an incubator, a warmer, or a combination thereof. In some examples, one or more pin acceptors are proximate the hinge, wherein the one or more pin acceptors hold the at least one bottom pin and the at least one top pin of the hinge in a closed position of the wall, and wherein the at least one top pin of the wall is released from the one or more pin acceptors in response to a force applied to the wall.

    Abstract: A system for safely containing an infant on a mattress is described. The system includes a base that supports the mattress and panels that extend upwardly from the base and together form an enclosure around the mattress. A porthole is defined through at least one of the panels, where the porthole provides access into the enclosure. A porthole door has locked and unlocked positions and covers the porthole only in the locked position. A detection system detects when the porthole door is in the unlocked position. A lighting system is operatively coupled to the detection system and is configured to emit light when the porthole door is detected to be in the unlocked position. A power system provides energy to the lighting system for emitting the light.

    Abstract: An infant care station can include sensors to detect an environmental characteristic of the infant care station, an access point to access a microenvironment of the infant care station, and a processor to obtain a sealed measurement for the infant care station with the access point in a sealed position. The processor can also obtain the environmental characteristic from sensors monitoring the microenvironment. Additionally, the processor can determine a difference between the environmental characteristic and the sealed measurement and generate an alert indicating an access point sealing issue based on the difference exceeding a predetermined threshold.

    Abstract: A bassinette for a neonatal care system includes a frame structure with at least one vertical a support member extending downward from a top support member. A sling is suspended from the top support member and configured to support a neonate. The sling comprises a pressure-diffusing netting material extending from a top end to a bottom end between opposing lateral sides. A heating coil may be configured to heat the neonate supported on the sling, and a sling controller may be secured to the frame and configured to selectively control the heating coil to heat the neonate. Additionally, a plurality of stretchable conductive electrodes may extend through the pressure-diffusing netting material and may be configured to acquire physiological signals from the neonate. The stretchable conductive electrodes may be configured to communicate the physiological signals from the plurality of conductive electrodes to a sling controller.
