Abstract:
Three-wire communication cables useful for operation with a vehicle are disclosed. The cables can meet MIPI C-PHY℠ standard (Version 1.2) as well as ISO 6722-1 (2011) and 14572 (2011). Methods of making and using the cables are also disclosed.

Three-wire communication cables are useful for operation with a vehicle as vehicular data communication cables. The cables include a cable core formed of three insulated wires twisted together at a defined pitch and a jacket surrounding the cable core. The cables can meet Mobile Industry Processor Interface (“MIPI”) C-PHY℠ standard (Version 1.2) as well as International Standards Organization (“ISO”) 6722-1 (2011) and 14572 (2011).

A cable including a conductive composite core formed from braided carbonized fibers and fiberglass fibers. At least a portion of the fiberglass fibers are coated with magnetic material to suppress electromagnetic interference noise. Methods of forming such cables is also provided herein.
