Abstract: A touch panel and a touch display device are provided. The touch panel includes a package cover plate and a touch substrate disposed opposite to each other, and a connection layer disposed between the package cover plate and the touch substrate. The touch substrate comprises a substrate, and a touch trace layer disposed on a side of the substrate close to the package cover plate. A light shielding layer is disposed on a side of the package cover plate close to the touch substrate. An orthographic projection of the light shielding layer projected on the substrate at least partially overlaps an orthographic projection of the touch trace layer projected on the substrate.
