Abstract: Methods for aldehyde synthesis are provided. In one embodiment, a method for manufacturing aldehydes includes providing an aldehyde precursor stream and an air stream comprising nitrogen gas and oxygen gas to a reactor comprising a catalyst, reacting the aldehyde precursor stream and the oxygen gas, and converting the air stream to an oxygen gas stream when reacting the aldehyde precursor stream and oxygen gas.
