Abstract: The distance measurement system is a system for measuring a distance to a target by a time of flight of light using a plurality of distance measurement image pickup apparatuses. The plurality of distance measurement image pickup apparatuses emits pulsed light at different intervals having a relatively prime relationship. Further, an interval of pulsed light rays is set based on any one of (1) a value obtained by raising a prime number to a power of a natural number of 2 or more used as an exponent, (2) a value obtained by multiplying a prime number by a natural number of 2 or more used as an integer, and (3) a value obtained by multiplying the value obtained by raising the prime number to the power by a natural number of 2 or more used as an integer.

Abstract: A distance measurement system includes a distance measurement device and an external processing device. Here, the distance measurement device receives reflected light from a subject for a plurality of exposure periods in a frame in which irradiation light is emitted, switches a plurality of distance calculation expressions according to an amount of charge measured for each exposure period, and calculates a measured distance to the subject from the amount of charge measured for each exposure period. The external processing device acquires the measured distance from the distance measurement device and performs data processing. Then, the external processing device predicts a measured distance including a distance error caused by an influence of multipath. The external processing device generates a correction expression for correcting the measured distance. The external processing device corrects the measured distance acquired from the distance measurement device using the correction expression.

Abstract: A distance measurement device comprises an irradiation unit that irradiates a measurement light onto an object to be measured, a light receiving sensor that receives reflected light from the object to detect an exposure amount based on the reflected light, a memory unit that stores correction information indicating a correction formula set including a plurality of correction formulas and an applicable distance range of each correction formula, and a distance calculation unit that calculates the measurement distance to the object to be measured based on the exposure amount. The distance calculation unit performs, based on the correction information stored in the memory unit, a distance correction calculation to calculate a corrected measured distance by correcting the measured distance using the correction formula corresponding to the applicable distance range in which the measured distance is included among the plurality of correction formulas in the correction formula set.

Abstract: A distance measurement device includes a light-emitting-unit that emits irradiation light toward an object; a light-receiving unit that receives reflected light from the object; a distance-calculation unit that calculates a distance to the object based on a transmission time of the reflected light received; a posture-adjustment mechanism that adjusts a posture of at least the light-receiving-unit; and a posture-controller that drives the posture-adjustment mechanism. The light-receiving unit is formed of a two-dimensional sensor in which a plurality of pixels are two-dimensionally arrayed, and the distance-calculation unit calculates two-dimensional distance data from received light data in each of the pixels of the two-dimensional sensor. The posture-controller controls the posture of the light-receiving unit via the posture-adjustment mechanism such that a direction of a pixel array of the two-dimensional sensor is inclined by a predetermined angle θ with respect to a direction of a ridge of the object to receive the light.
