The present invention discloses additive package comprising a mixture of (a) 6-10% by weight of fatty acid (b) 7-15% by weight of alkoxy ether and (c) 60-85% by weight of linear or branched chain monohydroxylated aliphatic saturated alcohol (C2-C8) for improving stability of mixtures of methanol-gasoline, ethanol-gasoline blends containing at least 5-15% by volume of short chain alkanol (methanol/ethanol). The additive composition is added to the alcohol-gasoline blends to improve low temperature stability, provides corrosion protection and to normalize vapor pressure of methanol/ethanol-gasoline blends.

The present invention relates to the low cost high performing corrosion inhibitor composition and process for preparation thereof. The corrosion inhibitor comprises of an ester of cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL), a dimer fatty acid (DFA), a long chain amine and a solvent. The corrosion inhibitor composition prevents corrosion of internal metal surface of pipelines due to petroleum products.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a one-pot process of synthesis of phenyl naphthalene compounds that are employed as heat transfer agents. More particularly, the present invention provides a process of preparation of 1-phenylnaphthalene and 2-methyl-1-phenylnaphthalene using refinery spent catalyst. These molecules are known for application as synthetic heat transfer fluids that deliver outstanding performance and thermal stability at continuously high operating temperatures. The reaction is carried out in aqueous medium using a spent catalyst which is a palladium based charcoal catalyst as obtained from various refinery processes. Further, the present invention provides a heat resistant formulation using the synthesized polyhydrocarbons, wherein the formulation is optimized with a free radical scavenger.

The present invention discloses a single package additive for improving lubricity and conductivity properties of ultra-low sulfur diesel fuels. The single package additive is a reaction product of a fatty acid composition, a glycerol tricarboxylates, a polysulfone, a polyamine, an alkylated benzene sulfonic acid and a phenol derivative. More specifically, the present invention discloses a reaction product of: a fatty acid composition in the range of 60-95% wt/wt; a glycerol tricarboxylate in the range of 0.1-10.0% wt/wt; a polysulfone in the range of 0.1-5.0% wt/wt; a polyamine in the range of 0.1-5.0% wt/wt; an alkylated benzene sulfonic acid in the range of 0.1-5.0% wt/wt; and a phenol derivative in the range of 0.1-10.0% wt/wt. The present invention also discloses a single-pot process for the preparation of said reaction product.

The present invention provides a delayed coking process comprising a step of subjecting a mixed feed comprises residual heavy hydrocarbon feedstock and bio oil obtained from fast pyrolysis of lignocellulosic biomass of one or more of Jatropha, Cashew nut, Karanjia and Neem to a delayed coking process and a system for the delayed coking process.
