Abstract: This disclosure relates to apparatuses, systems, and methods for channel estimation, and in particular channel estimation for 5G New Radio systems. The channel estimation interpolates, prior to performing a de-spreading operation, a first combined channel estimation and a second combined channel estimation to provide from the first combined channel estimation one or more channel estimation values at indices associated with the second combined channel estimation and/or to provide from the second combined channel estimation one or more channel estimation values at indices associated with the first combined channel estimation.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses and methods may provide for technology that establishes a point of intersection based on a rate of change in a logarithmic function and generates a first linear estimation of the logarithmic function, wherein the first linear estimation has the point of intersection as an upper bound. Additionally, a second linear estimation of the logarithmic function may be generated, wherein the second linear estimation has the point of intersection as a lower bound. In one example, linear estimations of an antilogarithmic function may be similarly generated based on the rate of change of the antilogarithmic function.

Abstract: A front-end unit that operates within a C-RAN architecture to perform the functions of cellular signal processing and resource selection between an RRU and the BBU pool network is described. The front-end unit supports flexible load migration and CoMP (coordinated multipoint) in the CRAN BBU while also reducing data transmission within the BBU pool network or between the BBU pool network and the RRU.

Abstract: Various strategies and devices for same are disclosed to correct for/mitigate frequency offset (such as due to differing accuracies between an oscillator of a transmitting device and an oscillator of a receiving device) and Doppler shift (such as due to a changing relative position between a receiving device and a transmitting device). These strategies may be employed in a MIMO setting, such as, e.g. a stationary base station and a plurality of terminal devices (e.g. user devices, mobile stations, etc.), in which the transmissions for each terminal device may be associated with a different frequency offset and a different Doppler shift.

Abstract: Particular embodiments described herein provide for an electronic device that can be configured to receive a request for a timestamp associated with a virtual machine, determine a current time from a timestamp counter, and subtract a timing compensation from the current time from the timestamp counter to create the timestamp, where the timing compensation includes an amount of time that execution of the virtual machine was suspended. In an example, a VM_EXIT instruction was used to suspend execution of the virtual machine and the timestamp counter was read before the VM_EXIT instruction was processed by a hypervisor.
