Abstract: Provided is a light emission device including: first and second light emission element regions; first to fourth reflection interfaces; a light extraction plane; and first and second light emission layers. The first reflection interface is provided in the first and second light emission element regions. The light extraction plane is provided in confronted relation to the first reflection plane. The second reflection interface allows reflection therefrom to cause reinforcement with respect to center wavelengths of light emission spectra of the first and second light emission layers. The third and fourth reflection interfaces allow reflection therefrom to cause attenuation with respect to the center wavelength of the light emission spectrum of the first light emission layer, and to cause reinforcement with respect to the center wavelength of the light emission spectrum of the second light emission layer.

Abstract: A light-emitting apparatus includes a plurality of organic electroluminescent sections, a light extraction surface, and a laminate section. The second reflective layer includes, from the organic light-emitting layer side, a first metal layer, a transparent layer, and a second metal layer thinner than the first metal layer, in this order, and, in each of the organic electroluminescent sections, an interference structure is formed according to a structure that includes a reflection interface A on the organic light-emitting layer side of the first reflective layer, a reflection interface B on the organic light-emitting layer side of the first metal layer, a reflection interface C on the light extraction surface side of the first metal layer, a reflection interface D on the organic light-emitting layer side of the second metal layer, and one or more reflection interfaces E formed according to differences in refractive indexes within the laminate section.

Abstract: A light-emitting device includes pixels each including subpixels. Each subpixel includes light-emitting elements that emit respective pieces of light of colors different from each other, and a light-shielding film having openings at respective positions where the openings are opposed to the respective light-emitting elements at predetermined intervals. The openings have respective widths different from each other. The widths of the respective openings in a first direction and a second direction are sized to allow the light-shielding film to block a portion of the pieces of light emitted from the respective light-emitting elements and thereby to cause a 45-degree luminance viewing angle to be different between the first and second directions, and are sized to cause color differences (Δu′v′) at a 45-degree chromaticity viewing angle (u′v′) in the first and second directions to be 0.020 or less. The 45-degree luminance viewing angle is expressed in a unit of cd/m2.

Abstract: A display unit includes a plurality of light-emitting sections and an optical filter. The plurality of light-emitting sections emit color light beams having different colors. The optical filter is disposed on light emission side of the plurality of light-emitting sections, and transmits the color light beams while selectively removing a part of a wavelength band of the color light beams. The optical filter includes the first filter layer and the second filter layer. The first filter layer transmits a first band including a center wavelength out of the wavelength band of each of the color light beams, and removes a second band that is at least a part of a band other than the first band. The second filter layer reduces transmissivity of a third band that is a part of the first band of at least one color light beam out of the color light beams.
