Abstract:
One embodiment includes an apparatus that includes a storage medium to store data. The apparatus also includes a connector having an optical interface for data communication, coupled to the storage medium, to communicate in a combustible gas environment.
Abstract:
A retractable vehicle roof system for a vehicle having a rearward storage space includes a roof portion movable between a closed position and an open position. The roof portion is located above a body of the vehicle and proximate the rearward storage space when in the closed position. A lid is located above the rearward storage space when the roof portion is in the closed position. The lid is configured to descend into the storage space as the roof portion moves to the open position above the lid while substantially preserving a side profile of the vehicle and permitting storage space access. The roof portion is located above the lid when the roof portion is in the open position. A glide control arrangement is operatively connected to the lid and configured to direct motion of the lid when the roof portion moves between the open and closed positions.
Abstract:
A prosthetic interface includes an orientation assembly, a mounting plate and a load bearing assembly. The orientation assembly includes an anterior frame portion and a posterior frame portion. The anterior frame portion extends over an anterior portion of a torso of a wearer of the prosthetic interface. The posterior frame portion extends over a posterior portion of the torso. The mounting plate is disposed at an intersection of the posterior frame portion and the anterior frame portion. The mounting plate forms a structure to which a prosthetic limb is attachable. The load bearing assembly includes breathable fabric forming a load distribution matrix to distribute a load on the mounting plate over portions of the torso with which the fabric is in contact.

Abstract:
In accordance with one preferred embodiment of the present invention, a retractable roof system for a hard top vehicle is disclosed. The system includes a rigid roof portion that resides above a vehicle body forward a rear storage space when closed. Additionally, the storage space includes a lid adjacent the roof portion. Lastly, a motor is operatively configured to assist in the simultaneous movement of the roof portion and lid to a recessed, open position. Further provided is a method of retracting a rigid vehicle roof.

Abstract:
A wet clutch includes a clutch carrier that encloses a stack of clutch plates and a clutch backing plate. Two sets of alternating slots are provided in the clutch carrier. One set of slots is shallower than the other set and is configured to support the clutch backing plate. The other set of slots is deeper and is configure to support many of the clutch plates. The first set of slots is shallower in order to keep the clutch backing plate from pressing against and partially binding the stack of clutch plates together.
