    Abstract: The speed of an elevator is controlled and adjusted by utilizing a differential voltage obtained from a variable voltage indicating actual speed and a control voltage reflecting an ideal curve of speed variation. The resulting voltage or reference curve has a series of straight sections corresponding to distance lengths decoded from a distance counter for the distance travelled from the giving of a slowing order at a fixed distance from the stopping point. Each control section has it origin realigned with the reference curve.

    Abstract: The invention provides a process for the regulated control of an electric motor more particularly for an elevator, goods lift or storage installation.According to the method of the invention, along the path a coded strip (20) is disposed comprising evenly spaced marks which are read by a reader (23) fixed to the moving body.Counting means (29) give the absolute position of the moving body and means (30) are provided for calculating its speed from counting of the marks.These means are followed by the central processing unit (31) which sends to the motor a regulated voltage control.

    Abstract: A proximity detector processes voltages induced across the sections of at least one antenna.The antenna sections are each connected to means (30, 31 and 36 to 39) for rectifying the positive and negative alternations of the alternating signal providing two first and second signals relating, one, to the "peak" value of the voltage induced across the section whose voltage is the highest and, the other, to the mean value of the voltage across the various sections, the first signal supplying an adder controlled by a gate and the second signals are supplied to another input of the adder led by a limiter said means being, in turn, connected to means (21, 22) for analyzing these two signals.The detector may be used with elevator doors.

    Abstract: Control apparatus for regulation of the deceleration of an elevator has a comparator for two currents which are functions of the actual decrease of the velocity and the other of the desired decrease provided by a source and including means controlled by the differential current from the comparator to determine the variation of the speed of the elevator. The source is served by means causing decrease of the current that they elaborate as a function of the available distance and not of time. The invention is applicable to elevators, invalid carriers, freight carriers and similar apparatus.
