Abstract:
A method of searching multimedia data is disclosed in which a search for an image can re-performed by automatically updating weights of features and/or weights of feature elements in the respective feature in an image.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a jelly-roll type electrode assembly (“jelly-roll”) configured by winding a cathode having a cathode active material coated portion formed at at least one side of a cathode current collector and an anode having an anode active material coated portion formed at at least one side of an anode current collector in a state in which the cathode and the anode are opposite to each other via a separator, wherein a cathode tab mounted at an uncoated portion of the cathode so that the cathode tab is inclined upward at a predetermined angle to a longitudinal direction of the cathode and an anode tab mounted at an uncoated portion of the anode so that the anode tab is inclined upward at a predetermined angle to a longitudinal direction of the anode are located so as to be adjacent to each other.
Abstract:
Provided is an initial driving circuit of a backlight unit having a lamp unit provided with a plurality of lamps. In the initial driving circuit, an error amplifying unit 100 detects an error voltage VERO between a feedback voltage VFB corresponding to a current flowing to the lamp unit and a preset first reference voltage Vref11. A soft signal generation unit 200 generates a soft start signal VSS of the lamp unit. A high-frequency signal driving signal generating unit 300 generates a high-frequency driving signal VHF of the of the lamp unit. A high-frequency driving termination determining unit 400 generates a high-frequency driving termination signal SHE when the error voltage VERO is equal in voltage level to the soft start signal VSS. A high-frequency driving signal blocking unit 500 blocks the high-frequency driving signal VHF in advance when the high-frequency driving termination signal SHE is inputted.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus and an image forming method using the same. The image forming apparatus includes a discharge unit which has a driving roller rotating in forward and reverse directions and first and second driven rollers engaged with the driving roller to rotate together therewith, a duplex print unit which feeds the paper again to a developing unit so that the paper printed on a first surface is subsequently printed on a second surface, and a control unit which controls a rotational direction of the driving roller so as to move a first sheet of paper between the driving roller and the first driven roller and move a second sheet of paper between the driving roller and the second driven roller. Accordingly, the image forming apparatus is capable of controlling the forward movement of the second sheet of paper without interference with the reverse movement of the first sheet of paper, thereby decreasing a time required to perform duplex printing.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus, which can efficiently align a paper supplied to a printing unit of a main body from a paper feeding unit that is removably mounted to the main body, includes a paper aligning unit, integrally provided with a paper container of the paper feeding unit, to align the paper supplied to the main body and thereby prevent paper misalignment. The paper container to automatically feed paper, the paper supply case to manually feed paper, and the paper aligning unit to align the supplied paper and to supply the paper to the main body are integrally provided within the paper feeding unit to reduce the number of components and thereby decrease manufacturing costs, increase efficiency, and increase productivity.
Abstract:
The method for managing menu functions in a mobile station includes the steps of executing menu edition, selecting menu items the user uses frequently in the executed menu edition, to set up a menu, executing the menu, and displaying the menu of the selected menu items at first. The basic menu inclusive of all menu items the mobile station provides is selected as a last menu item of the mode menu displayed at first so that the user can access to menu items other than the menu items of preference. By providing easy mode menu with menu items the user or manufacturer of the mobile station uses frequently in advance, and displaying on a display window at first, the user is permitted a quick and easy access to a desired menu item without going through many steps of menus for using the desired menu item.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an image forming apparatus equipped with a pick-up roller to pick up a sheet. The image forming apparatus includes a sheet feeding tray, in which sheets are stacked, and a pick-up roller to pick up sheet from the sheet feeding tray. The pick-up roller includes a pick-up section to pick up the sheet and a feed section to deliver a sheet feeding pressure greater than that of the pick-up section to the sheet, so that a component corresponding to a feed roller can be removed, thereby simplifying the structure of the image forming apparatus and lowering the height of the image forming apparatus.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are a paper feeding device and an image forming apparatus capable a convenient removal a paper jammed between a pickup unit and a multi-sheet feeding prevention unit. The multi-sheet feeding prevention unit may be moveable in cooperation with a detachable paper cassette such that the multi-sheet feeding prevention member supported on the moveable multi-sheet feeding prevention unit moves toward and away from the pickup unit so that the pressing force between the pickup unit and the multi-sheet feeding prevention unit may be released to allow the jammed paper to be removed.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating osteoporosis, comprising N-hydroxy-4-{5-[4-(5-isopropyl-2-methyl-1,3-thiazol-4-yl)phenoxy]pentoxy}benzamidine, 4-{5-[4-(5-isopropyl-2-methyl-1,3-thiazol-4-yl)phenoxy]pentoxy}benzamidine, or salts thereof, and alendronic acid or a salt thereof. As a prophylactic or therapeutic composition for osteoporosis, the combination treatment of N-hydroxy-4-{5-[4-(5-isopropyl-2-methyl-1,3-thiazol-4-yl)phenoxy]pentoxy}benzamidine, 4-{5-[4-(5-isopropyl-2-methyl-1,3-thiazol-4-yl)phenoxy]pentoxy}-benzamidine, or salts thereof and alendronic acid or a salt thereof exhibits excellent inhibitory effect on osteoclast differentiation, as compared to each individual treatment, thereby being useful for the prevention or treatment of osteoporosis.
Abstract:
A hair-line processing, and more particularly a sheet metal finished by continuous hair-line on its plane and curved surface, and apparatus and method for finishing by continuous hair-line on the same are disclosed, wherein the sandpaper curvaceously advances to form hairlines relative to curved surface of the sheet metal, and operation of a pressure unit can vary the curvaceous degree of the sandpaper to form a continuous hairline relative a sheet metal including curved surfaces each having a different curvature.
