Abstract:
An improvement and method for improved structural dynamic stability for 20 and 30 Series Learjets are disclosed. The improvement includes a redistribution of the elevator mass balance to uncouple the elevator rotational motion from the stabilizer translation motion for the higher order horizontal frequencies having node lines in the proximity of the mass outboard counterbalance weights. The original tail section includes a rudder, and a horizontal stabilizer supporting an elevator mounted adjacent the rudder. The elevator includes a proximal end adjacent the rudder and a distal end that includes a counterbalance portion. The improvement includes replacement of an original mass counterbalance weight from within the counterbalance portion with a new mass counterbalance weight of less mass, and the inclusion of additional mass counterbalance weights disposed within the elevator and interposed between the proximal end and the counterbalance portion.
Abstract:
Techniques are described for generating dimension information in hierarchical form. A computer-implemented system, for example, includes a data store having multidimensional data. The multidimensional data includes a data cube having a dimension. The system further includes an executable software module that accesses the data store and generates hierarchy data describing a hierarchy of the dimension of the data cube. The software module generates the hierarchy data so that the hierarchy data is guaranteed to aggregate to totals represented within the data cube.

A computer aided workstation programmed to facilitate and enhance the process for creating complex graphics and associated presentation design through the use of multiple software tools/agents in conjunction with retail presentation products.Critical branding/theme characteristics are seamlessly established during the Build process by software/program controls. A high quality, professional presentation can be achieved with minimal training or software knowledge/skill set.
Abstract:
A fastening device has: a mounting member attached to a first component, a screw-threaded assembly rotatable in the mounting member and with a screw-threaded portion for engaging with a screw-threaded portion of a second component to secure the components together; and an actuator member mounted on the screw-threaded assembly. The device has, in itself, locked and unlocked states. A torque-transmitting arrangement is arranged such that: when in the unlocked state, torque can be transmitted from the actuator member to the screw-threaded assembly to tighten the screw-threaded portions until a predetermined torque is reached, whereupon the device changes to its locked state; and when in the locked state, the actuator member is rotationally locked to the screw-threaded assembly. A locking arrangement is arranged such that, when in the unlocked and locked states, the actuator member can be rotated and is rotationally locked, respectively, relative to the mounting member.
Abstract:
An asphalt heating and drying device for recycling or repairing asphalt. Nuggets of waste asphalt are inserted into a heat chamber that has a plurality of heat tubes that carry hot air into the chamber and adjacent to the waste asphalt nuggets. The heat chamber has a “live floor” with controllable spinning rotors which have forward reaching teeth. The spinning rotors pull the asphalt from the heat chamber into a lower chamber having two horizontal spiral augers. The augers mix the asphalt nuggets and the lower chamber heats the asphalt nuggets to their ultimate delivery temperature. The hot dry asphalt is then expelled from the device.
Abstract:
A shield cover including a top surface, four side walls, each side wall extends substantially perpendicular from an edge of the top surface, and one or more first securing tabs extending from at least one of the side walls. Each of the one or more first securing tabs includes a leg and a foot, the foot including a tapered edge. Each of the one or more first securing tabs is adapted to draw the cover toward a top surface of a circuit board and reduce gaps created between the cover and the board. The board includes slots through the board to receive the securing tabs. The securing tabs are engaged by twisting the leg of the securing tab such that the tapered portion of the foot contacts a bottom surface of the board and resultantly pulls the cover toward the top surface of the board.
Abstract:
An RFID system is provided, which includes one or more radio frequency antennas and a generally column-shaped structure. The generally column-shaped structure supports the antenna(s) therein. The structure may include a base portion, a frame portion, one ore more paddle portions, and an external body portion. In such case, the frame portion is attached to and supported by the base portion. The frame portion extends along a vertical axis of the structure. Each paddle portion is pivotably coupled to the frame portion. Each paddle portion supports one or more antennas attached thereto. The hollow and elongated external body portion is attached to and supported by the base portion. The external body portion extends along the vertical axis. The frame portion, the paddle portion(s), and the antenna(s) are located within the external body portion.
Abstract:
An electronic learning system and method for recommending potential careers, includes: one or more computing devices that communicate over a network and a server. The server is configured to store information for the system, the information including at least one of organization data, user data and historical information pertaining to individuals that followed pre-determined paths or developed pre-determined competencies; and implement at least an analytics engine. The analytics engine is configurable to: determine a role and/or opportunity for a user based at least on one of organization data, user data and historical information pertaining to individuals that followed pre-determined paths or developed pre-determined competencies; recommend individuals for roles based on characteristics pertaining to the individual and historical information pertaining to others that followed similar paths or developed similar competencies; and provide the recommendation to the at least one computing device.
Abstract:
An automatic carabiner gate locking system and method of operation. The system includes a frame, a gate, a gate biasing system, and a gate locking system. The gate locking system further includes a set of rotatable latching sleeves disposed over the gate. When the gate is in the closed state, the latching sleeves independently rotate between an unlocked state in which the gate is free to pivot and a locked state in which the gate may be prevented from pivoting with respect to the frame. The locked state further includes rotationally orienting the latching sleeves over the gate frame coupling region. The unlocked state further includes rotationally separating the latching sleeves to expose a locking recess over the gate recess, thereby allowing the gate to pivot. A second embodiment of the present invention relates to a method of automatically locking a carabiner gate.
Abstract:
A system includes a paint booth including a room, a ceiling, and a floor. The system also includes a ceiling filter communicatively coupled to a first opening and a base filter communicatively coupled to a second opening. A first pressure sensor is configured to output a first measurement signal indicative of a first pressure drop across the ceiling filter. A second pressure sensor is configured to output a second measurement signal indicative of a second pressure drop across the base filter. A controller is configured to receive the first measurement signal and the second measurement signal and generate a first alert when the first pressure drop across the ceiling filter is greater than a first threshold pressure drop and generate a second alert when the second pressure drop across the base filter is greater than a second threshold pressure drop.
