Abstract:
A computer system according to particular embodiments of the invention is adapted for: (A) receiving one or more claims for reimbursement from an account holder of a health savings account; (B) after receiving the one or more claims, allowing a plan service provider to: (1) review each particular one of the one or more claims for reimbursement to determine whether the particular claim is properly reimbursable from the health savings account; and (2) in response to determining that the particular claim is reimbursable from the health savings account, certify that the particular claim is properly reimbursable from the health savings account.
Abstract:
A credit card transaction processing system that, in various embodiments, is configured for: (1) receiving transaction data related to a reimbursable charge made on the credit card by a credit card holder; (2) analyzing the transaction data to determine whether the charge may be auto-substantiated; (3) in response to determining that the charge may be auto-substantiated, auto-substantiating the charge; and (4) in response to the charge being auto-substantiated, reimbursing the credit card holder for at least a portion of the charge at least substantially without human intervention.
Abstract:
A computer system for facilitating payments from an account according to particular embodiments of the invention is adapted for: (1) facilitating the transmission, to a plan service provider, of a first set of documentation of a first payment that would potentially qualify for reimbursement from the account; (2) receiving, from the plan service provider, verification that the first payment has been verified as qualifying for reimbursement from the account according to a set of reimbursement rules associated with the account; (3) storing, in memory, an electronic version of the first set of documentation; and (4) storing, in memory, an indication that the first payment has been verified as being properly reimbursable from the account.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus providing a golf training apparatus configured to aid a golfer in developing a consistent golf swing. The golf training apparatus includes a triangle plane guide, a shaft coupler and a limb attachment member. The triangle plane guide includes two side members and a top member coupled to each other to form a triangular configuration. The shaft coupler is operatively coupled to a portion of the triangle plane guide and is operable to removably couple with a shaft of the golf club below a grip end of the shaft so that said triangle plane guide is disposed in a suspended position above the shaft. The limb attachment member is coupled to the triangle plane guide and operable to attach to a limb of the golfer in an adjustable manner. With this arrangement, the triangle plane guide is operable to provide a visual reference while addressing a golf ball in a golf stance, wherein the visual reference includes (i) visual alignment from an apex of the two side members down the shaft toward the golf ball and (ii) visual alignment of the top member with a distant target.
Abstract:
The disclosure pertains to conjugates of the capsular polysaccharide of Vibrio cholerae O139, or a structurally and/or immunologically related oligo- or poly-saccharide, and a carrier. These conjugates are useful as pharmaceutical compositions and/or vaccines to induce serum antibodies which have bactericidal (vibriocidal) activity against V. cholerae, in particular V. cholerae O139, and are useful to prevent, treat and/or reduce the severity of disease caused by V. cholerae infection, such as cholera. The present disclosure also relates to diagnostic tests for V. cholerae infection, and/or cholera caused by V. cholerae infection, using one or more of the oligo- or poly-saccharide-carrier conjugates or antibodies described above.
Abstract:
A desk chairmat includes a semi-rigid and substantially planar member of solid plastic material, the chairmat having four side edges with a lip portion extending from one of the side edges, an upper side of the chairmat having a substantially smooth upper surface. At least a first handle attached to or formed integrally with the chairmat along one of the side edges of the chairmat.
Abstract:
A method of backside damaging a silicon semiconductor wafer by abrading the wafer in an abrasive powder is disclosed. The wafer is rotated or translated in the powder while the powder is being vibrated. A fixture holds one or more semiconductor wafers during the processing and allows the wafer to be rotated during processing if desired.
Abstract:
Immunogenic compositions and methods for eliciting an immune response against B. anthracis and other bacilli are provided that include immunogenic conjugates of a poly-γ-glutamic acid (γPGA) polypeptide of B. anthracis, or of another Bacillus that expresses a γPGA polypeptide. The γPGA conjugates elicit an effective immune response against B. anthracis, or against another Bacillus, in mammalian hosts to which the conjugates are administered.
Abstract:
The present invention includes a fuel cell system and a method to operate a fuel cell. The fuel cell system includes a source of a fuel and water emulsion, receiving the emulsion and a reformer for receiving the emulsion and producing hydrogen, a hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell connected to the reformer and able to receive hydrogen from the reformer. The method for operating a fuel cell system including a hydrogen gas oxygen fuel cell includes producing the hydrogen gas from a fuel and water emulsion.
Abstract:
The present invention relates, e.g., to a glycoconjugate composition comprising one or more polysaccharide types from a cell wall polysaccharide preparation from B. pumilus Sh 18, or variants thereof. Also disclosed are antibodies generated against the glycoconjugates, and methods of using the glycoconjugates and antibodies. An antimultiorganism vaccine which reacts against at least Haemophilus influenzae type a, Haemophilus influenzae type b, Staphylococcus aureus, and Staphylococcus epidermidis, is disclosed.
