Abstract: A method and an apparatus for data transmission between a contactless front element and a security element are provided. The method includes: the contactless front element transparently transmits first data obtained from a contactless identification device to the security element through a single wire connection; the security element processes the first data to generate second data; the contactless front element transparently transmits the second data obtained from the security element through the single wire connection to the contactless identification device. Compared with the prior art, the method can transmit the contactless data in real time between the contactless front element and the security element. Thus the security element can directly respond instructions sent by a proximity coupling device during simulating Proximity Integrated Circuit Card, so that the contactless front element becomes a transparent transport channel, the time order compatibility problem can be avoided, and the safety problem can be surmounted.

Abstract: Provided herein is a user equipment with a wired discontinuous mobile communication function and the method thereof applicable to the wired communication user equipment technology field. There are two implementation of the invention. The first is a wired single-mode user equipment including a wired mobile equipment, a universal integrated circuit card, and a terminal equipment. The other is a converging wireless/wired multi-mode and multi-network user equipment including a wireless/wired mobile equipment, a universal integrated circuit card, and a terminal equipment. Compared with a conventional wired communication user equipment, the user equipment and the method of this invention preserves the advantages of wired communication while implementing the wired discontinuous mobile communication function, thereby overcoming the deficiencies of conventional wired communication user equipments, such as fixing, stillness, and so on. Moreover, the converging wireless/wired multi-mode and multi-network user equipment of this invention provides wireless mobile communication with the possibility of sharing the numerous advantages of wired communication in a wired communication environment.

Abstract: A memory array includes a memory layer that has hysteretic domains with domain axes extending between first and second memory layer surfaces. A conductive layer on the first memory layer surface has anisotropically increased electrical conductivity in a thickness direction. A movable conductive probe has a contact area on the conductive layer and moves to access a selected hysteretic domain.

Abstract: A data frame switching apparatus has number data ports and a port traffic management unit for each port. Each port traffic management unit includes a physical layer unit for receiving and transmitting data frames, a serial shift register for temporarily storing a portion of each received data frame in serial data format, and a port controller for extracting each data frame's source and destination address from the portion of the data frame stored in the serial shift register. A crossbar switch connects any specified one of the data ports that is receiving a data frame to another one of the data ports so as to transmit the received data frame to a corresponding destination. A global traffic manager and lookup engine map the destination address of each received data frame to a corresponding destination port, determine the availability of the destination port, and when the destination port if available, send setup signals to the switch so as to connect the data port on which the data frame is being received to the destination port.
