Abstract:
A retardation film includes a cellulose ether derivative and a compound having a negative intrinsic birefringence, wherein the retardation film includes: a transmittance at a wavelength of 320 to 400 nm of 89% or more; an in-plane retardation Ro550 at a wavelength of 550 nm of 115 to 160 nm; and a ratio (Ro450/Ro550) of an in-plane retardation Ro450 at a wavelength of 450 nm to the Ro550 of 0.72 to 0.94.
