Abstract: A skin treatment system (1) is provided comprising a treatment device (10) to treat a treatment region (TR) of a mammal body (B) by physically acting upon the body in said treatment region. The skin treatment system further comprises a camera (20) to capture at least one image of skin of the mammal body, said image having an imaging region (IR), and to provide captured image data (Id) representative of the at least one captured image. The imaging region (IR) has a predefined spatial relationship with the treatment region. The skin treatment system (1) further comprises a storage facility (30) for storing reference image data (Ir) indicative of a reference image of the skin of the mammal body (B). The skin treatment system (1) further comprises an orientation estimation facility (40) to determine which part of the reference image corresponds to the at least one captured image, using the captured image data (Id) and the reference image data (Ir), and to derive from a predetermined orientation of said corresponding part with respect to the reference image an orientation indication (Io) indicative of an orientation of the treatment device with respect to the body (B). A corresponding method of determining an orientation of a skin treatment device with respect to a mammal body is also provided. Furthermore, a skin analysis system and a corresponding method of analyzing skin are provided to render reference image data for use in the skin treatment system (1).

Abstract: An adaptive lighting system (100), a (virtual) mirror arrangement, a method of controlling light sources of an adaptive light sources, a method of controlling a virtual mirror and a computer program product are provided. The adaptive lighting system is for a mirror component that is configured to show a mirror image of the user at the mirror surface of the mirror component. The adaptive lighting system comprises a plurality of individually controllable light sources (111 . . . 119), a sensor (102), and a controller (104). The sensor detects a relative orientation of the head of the user with respect to the mirror surface. The controller generates control signals (121 . . . 129) for the individually controllable light sources on the basis of the sensor signal. The controller generates the control signals to obtain a lower emission of light towards eyes of the user if the sensor signal indicates that the head is turned left sidewards, upwards, right sidewards and/or downwards.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device (1) and a method for determining a relational position of a mobile device (14, 14′). An embodiment provides for equipping the mobile device (14, 14′) with a light source (15) to project a light image on the subject (18) during use, while a camera equipped device (12) is observing the subject (18). The camera (13) is used to identify both landmarks (19) on the subject's face and the light image (17) allowing the position of the device (14, 14′) relative to the user (18) to be calculated. This system may use the computing power in the camera equipped device (12) for image analysis, and no advanced processing needs to be performed by the mobile device (14, 14′). Further, no communication between the mobile device (14, 14′) and the camera equipped device (12) is required to establish the relative position of the personal care device.

The present invention wirelessly exchanges light information between different wearable devices of the same user and/or between devices of different users. Local and/or central light profile databases are built-up by the system and are shared between the devices so that light data that is typical for a location at a specific time of day and year can be used to estimate current ambient light levels for situations in which no measurement can be taken.
