Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel Lactobacillus sakei WIKIM30 (Accession No. KCCM11878P) isolated from kimchi and a composition comprising the same as an active ingredient. Lactobacillus sakei WIKIM30 according to the present invention shows excellent anti-cancer activity in animal models in which a cancer cell is transplanted and cancer cell lines, and therefore it can be usefully used as a composition in use of treatment, prevention or improvement of cancer of humans or animals.
