Abstract: Provided is a fuel container composed of a multilayer structure containing: an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) layer; an adhesive resin (B) layer; a high-density polyethylene (C) layer; and a resin composition (D) layer, wherein the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) contains 15 to 44 mol % of ethylene, the adhesive resin (B) is a maleic anhydride-modified polyolefin having an acid value of 0.1 to 10 mgKOH/g and containing 1 to 8.5 μmol/g of magnesium element, calcium element, zinc element, or a combination thereof, the resin composition (D) contains the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A), the adhesive resin (B), and the high-density polyethylene (C), the thickness of the (A) layer, the (B) layer, and the (C) layer satisfies specific conditions, and the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A), the adhesive resin (B), and the high-density polyethylene (C) satisfies specific conditions. The fuel container is excellent in fuel barrier properties and impact resistance and enables stable production.

Abstract: A resin composition according to an aspect of the present invention comprises: an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A); and a block copolymer (B) having a block (b1) that includes a vinyl aromatic monomer unit, and a block (b2) that includes an isobutylene unit, wherein the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) and the block copolymer (B) form a co-continuous phase structure; and a DSC curve obtained following heating the resin composition up to a melting point and cooling at a rate of 50° C./min in a differential scanning calorimetry analysis shows two peaks, with a higher peak top temperature falling within a range of 130° C. or greater and 170° C. or less, and a lower peak top temperature falling within a range of 100° C. or greater and less than 130° C. A resin composition may thus be obtained that is able to give a molded article that is superior in balance between gas barrier properties and flexibility.

Abstract: Provided is a resin composition, comprising: an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A); an isobutylene-based copolymer (B) containing a halogen atom; and a halogen scavenger (C), wherein a mass ratio (B/A) of the isobutylene-based copolymer (B) to the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) is from 5/95 to 45/55, and a content of the halogen scavenger (C) is from 0.01 to 1 part by mass based on 100 parts by mass of a total of the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) and the isobutylene-based copolymer (B). Such a resin composition is excellent in gas barrier properties and flexibility and stably produced over a long period of time.
