An image forming system 100 includes a terminal 10, an image forming apparatus 20, and a network repeater 30. The image forming apparatus 20 includes a writer 24 that writes identification information of the network repeater 30 to a wireless communication tag 22. The terminal 10 includes a display device 12 that presents the identification information read from the wireless communication tag 22, a terminal's communication device 16 that is allowed to connect to and communicate with the image forming apparatus 20, and a transmitter 14 that transmits, to the image forming apparatus 20, the identification information selected by a user and an encryption key entered by the user. The image forming apparatus 20 configures a connection with the network repeater 30 based on the identification information and the encryption key transmitted from the terminal 10.

An information processing system includes a first information processing apparatus of a data migration source (first apparatus), a second information processing apparatus of a data migration destination (second apparatus), a server communicable with the first and second apparatuses via a network and a user terminal communicable with the first and second apparatuses by short range wireless communication and communicable with the server via the network. The first apparatus starts export of migrating data by communication with the user terminal and transmits the migrating data having data identification information to the server. The server stores the received migrating data. The second apparatus starts import of the migrating data by communication with the user terminal. The server reads out the migrating data on the basis of the data identification information and transmits the migrating data to the second apparatus. The second apparatus stores the received migrating data.

The operation history section, upon execution of a plurality of maintenance adjustment operations by a service man, leaves the plurality of maintenance adjustment operations as a history for the purpose of resolving a specific error. The optimum operation extraction section, based on the history, extracts, as an optimum maintenance adjustment operation, a common maintenance adjustment operation executed for the specific error in common by the plurality of service men.

An image forming system includes a plurality of image forming apparatuses and a server. The server is connected to the image forming apparatuses in a communicable manner. The server receives data indicating a numerical value of a common item from each of the image forming apparatuses, calculates a median of the data, and specifies an abnormal image forming apparatus from among the image forming apparatuses that has sent a numeric value of the common item that deviates the most from the median.

The preceding value comparison unit configured to calculate a second variation amount by subtracting the reference value of the reference chart from a preceding registered value of a preceding chart for every setting item based on the reference values and the preceding registered values for every setting item registered before changing the current registered value. The priority order setting unit configured to display the setting items in descending order of priorities based on the first variation amount and the second variation amount.
