Abstract: Disclosed are a controlled-release composition for oral administration comprising a complex of a hydrophilic alpha adrenergic blocker compound or its salt; and a clay mineral, and a method for preparing the same. The composition of the present disclosure has an in vivo release rate controlled further than that of conventional alpha adrenergic blocker compounds, thereby preventing side effects caused by a rapid increase in plasma drug concentration.
